I am experiencing difficulty putting citations in author-year format. The Template says it uses natbib for author-year citations. However, when I use \citet{ID number}, It shows question mark in front of authors name.
Example:
Recently, a generalised neural network model was proposed by (author?) [1] for solving partial differential equations
The error is: Package natbib Warning: Author undefined for citation`raissi_physics-informed_2019' on page 2 on input line 134.
My reference:
@article{raissi_physics-informed_2019,
title = {Physics-informed neural networks: {A} deep learning framework for solving forward and inverse problems involving nonlinear partial differential equations},

issn = {0021-9991},
shorttitle = {Physics-informed neural networks},
doi = {10.1016/j.jcp.2018.10.045},
abstract = {We introduce physics-informed neural networks – neural networks that are trained to solve supervised learning tasks while respecting any given laws of physics described by general nonlinear partial differential equations. In this work, we present our developments in the context of solving two main classes of problems: data-driven solution and data-driven discovery of partial differential equations. Depending on the nature and arrangement of the available data, we devise two distinct types of algorithms, namely continuous time and discrete time models. The first type of models forms a new family of data-efficient spatio-temporal function approximators, while the latter type allows the use of arbitrarily accurate implicit Runge–Kutta time stepping schemes with unlimited number of stages. The effectiveness of the proposed framework is demonstrated through a collection of classical problems in fluids, quantum mechanics, reaction–diffusion systems, and the propagation of nonlinear shallow-water waves.},

Several years ago ResearchGate had this feature, but it never worked properly. Usually, the bibliographic data in the exported list were rather incomplete. Later they removed this function completely. The problem with such features seems to me that RG is a private company and has to finance its programming work somehow. On the other hand, it is free for users.

What Journals Tell You to Do
I’ve read a lot of journal websites, and they mainly tell you to do these things to promote your papers to other scientific authors to try to get them to cite them in their writing:
  • Promote your article on traditional social media (e.g., Twitter, Facebook, Instagram)
  • Promote your article on scientific social media (e.g., ResearchGate and Academia.edu)
  • Promote your article at conferences
I hope that this will help you in some way.
Good luck with your research.

AI-Based Security - Advanced AI Cybersecurity
12% of the Fortune 500 Can’t Be Wrong. Leverage Behavioral AI to Prevent Attacks. See how behavioral AI blocks sophisticated email attacks including BEC and phishing.
The link between information security and Artificial Intelligence (AI) is significant. Let’s explore how AI impacts cybersecurity:
  1. AI-Powered Cybersecurity: Cybercriminals are increasingly using AI to launch more sophisticated and targeted cyberattacks. AI empowers attackers by enabling them to: Create malware that can transform to evade detection. Craft highly compelling phishing emails and fake websites that appear almost identical to legitimate ones. Automate and scale attacks with unprecedented accuracy and speed. Manipulate audio and visual content (such as deepfakes) to deceive and mislead11.
  2. Challenges and Opportunities: Incorporating AI in cybersecurity strategies can: Identify threats more effectively. Improve response times. Reduce the cost of defending against cyber threats. AI developers have a responsibility to design robust systems that are resilient against misuse24.
  3. AI for Security Teams: Security teams use AI to: Identify and label sensitive data across the organization’s infrastructure and cloud apps. Detect unauthorized data movement and either block it or alert the security team32.
In summary, AI plays a crucial role in both defending against cyber threats and enabling malicious actors. As the threat landscape evolves, adaptive and advanced tools are essential to protect against dynamic exploits.

Hello Everyone,
It is part of the dogma of verbotonalism that if you fix the intonation of an L2 you also automatically fix the pronunciation of all/most/many individual sounds. While I think from observation and results reported over the years in many places that this is true, I still have a question.
Has any study been done *with hard statistical data* to demonstrate that this is so? I am looking for something other than impressionistic data. And if such studies exist, please provide the citation if possible. I have no memory of such studies.
Since the Revue de Phonétique Appliquée disappeared a huge amount of publications on VT has also disappeared. I will try a closer look at Govor but I thought I would ask anyway.
Thank you!
Andrew

Answer
Great answer. No one would/should disagree with you though current common practice still tends to prioritize segmental study over suprasegmental study. When I say it is part of the dogma of verbotonalism I mean that it is actually one of the fundamental principles of the theory which seems to have worked in specific cases in the past. And people keep repeating this as though it were an ultimate truth and wholly-established. Of course, theoretically and even/especially from the perspective of acoustic phonetics, this makes perfect sense. Regrettably, though, in modern times, I cannot find hard data-driven evidence as to the impact of intonation training on the development of the pronunciation system as a whole. Perhaps this is due in part to the disappearance of some of the basic sources of information from the past such as the Revue de Phonétique Appliquée and the lack of evidence in some of the major languages, particularly English. Most writing has been in Serbo-Croat, French and Spanish with a restating of the theory from the American perspective with the work of Carl W. Asp. There are many studies still left to be done in relation to verbotonal theory and that would open up new avenues not only in pronunciation studies but in relation to the the interface between perception and learning - which is an under-researched area in education generally and language education in particular.

First do realise that you are asking your question here on the open Q&A forum on RG and most likely nobody from the RG team will read it. Having said that, the RG (help) team will not be of any use in this matter. Citations are ‘counted’ automatically.
The thing is that the RG search engine is not perfect and depends highly on the papers present here in their own (RG) database.
In your case:
-A thesis will not be counted in your citations if the thesis is not uploaded by the PhD candidate. In this case Google Scholar is more inclusive
-When it comes to the one missing citation, the paper that cite you is present here:
Eating disorders: Condition of interest to a restoring dentist: A narrative review However (as often happens) your citation is not recognised by the RG search engine/algorithm. If you go to the link and click on citations and scroll down, you see:
Bonilla ED, Del Aquila CL, Wetzel D, Scott EM, Bonilla SC. Eating disorders: Diagnosis and Prosthodontic management. BOAJ Dent 2017;3:037
You can give it a try (as a little experiment) to create a new upload and leave the (wrong) journal title (Open Access Library Journal) which you used (most likely because BOAJ is not listed in the standard RG journal title list) perhaps then the citation will be picked up (give it some time, it is possible that the citation is not picked up immediately but might be after let’s say a week).
Best regards.

Rather than purchasing individual articles, a more efficient approach could be to implement a payment system based on citations. Under this model, researchers would have access to the entirety of global academic papers; however, a fee would be incurred for each paper cited in their work. This payment mechanism could be effectively facilitated through the use of smart contracts.
A portion of the citation fee would be allocated to the author of the cited paper, while the remaining portion would be distributed to the individual or journal responsible for reviewing the cited work. Such a system could be implemented utilizing blockchain technology, with platforms like Hedera offering the necessary infrastructure. Additionally, collaboration with platforms like ResearchGate could provide the means to accurately identify and track citations.
It is important to note that this citation-based payment system does not necessarily require the involvement of traditional journals. However, journals can still benefit from this system by receiving a portion of the citation fees for the papers they publish and review. The primary beneficiaries of this system are researchers who need to access and cite papers, authors of original papers who receive compensation for their work, and the individuals who conduct thorough reviews of these papers. This approach not only incentivizes the creation and dissemination of high-quality research but also ensures that the contributions of authors and reviewers are appropriately recognized and rewarded.
Relevant answer
Answer
Bindowo mohammed Garba, This is also a business opportunity. Whoever manages to create a DAPP for this task will likely be successful. I think a starting point would be to use blockchains with low data writing costs (like Hedera) for transactions, a decentralized network for storing files (like Filecoin), and a simple and easy-to-understand interface.
The researcher would upload their PDF to the DAPP anonymously, and the reviewer/journal would review the PDF (also anonymously). If approved, the final PDF is published on the decentralized data network, now with the authors and reviewers identified.
This idea also has the potential to create a review market. The better the reviewer, the higher the cost of their review.

Because it seems that the ResearchGate score relies more on the number of citations and less on the quality of the work or the significance of the journal in which the article was published.
Relevant answer
Answer
The "Research Interest Score" calculated by ResearchGate is based on citations, "Reads" by members and recommendations (see https://help.researchgate.net/hc/en-us/articles/14293473316753-Research-Interest-Score). It should not be taken too seriously. Generally, all metrics based on citations reflect the quality of publications only to a very limited extent. In my opinion, the actual "quality", which consists of many factors, cannot really be measured. See also these discussions:

I've just found a preprint that cites one of my publications. It's not captured on my citations. Is this typical for pre-prints and is there any way to capture these?
Relevant answer
Answer
I guess you mean that this citation was not captured by ResearchGate. Citations in preprints are taken into account, see an older example with a preprint of mine: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/331546436/references. Note that RG lists 7 out of 8 citations in the preprint, and only 2 of these could be identified correctly by RG's automated algorithm. Incomplete and sometimes wrong identification of citations is a widespread problem in RG.

But now, a published version is added separately, and a double citation is indicated by the article and preprint with the same doi! How to either fix this duplication or merge the article and the preprint? Don't want to delete the preprint, because somebody saved it.

It is not possible to merge these. I recommend to link the preprint and the final versions. See my replies to a similar question for details what to do: https://www.researchgate.net/post/How_can_I_remove_the_word_preprint_in_an_article_and_change_it_by_article. - Concerning the DOIs: The two versions must not have the same DOI. DOIs are always unique and apply to one file. Two file versions must have different DOIs. DOIs are identifiers for digital objects, not for publications, although they are often regarded as such.

Many research articles, earning positive feedback by researcher(s), have been observed to be hardly cited.
This is a point which is to be thought of deeply.
I think, in order to cite an article by an author it is required that
(1) the author must read this article and understand it,
& (2) the article must be related to and suitable for the article where to be cited.
As I do understand, the quality of an article is a necessary but not sufficient condition for being cited by researchers/authors.
Thus the following question arises:
"Does the citation of a research article depend upon its quality only ?"
Relevant answer
Answer
My curiosity is to be confirmed whether the quality of a research article can be evaluated only on the basis of its citation. It is necessary since many academicians, as I have found, intend to evaluate the quality of a research article on the basis of its citation.

ResearchGate does a pretty good job of tracking publication analytics such as reads and citations over time. The recommendations feature can also be an interesting indicator for a publication's resonance with the scholarly community.
This progress allow for ideas to be developed about how to make the analytics features even better in the future. Here are some ideas I have been thinking about:
  • something equivalent to Altmetric that tracks social media mentions across multiple platforms and mentions in news articles, conference proceedings, etc.
  • more longitudinal data for individual publications by month and year
  • the ability to compare the performance of one's own publications, with perhaps a way to rank them in analytic reports by reads, citations, etc.
  • More specific analytics to allow for comparisons within and between departments on an individual and collective basis, which can be sorted by discipline, field, etc.
Are there any additional analytics features that you would like to see on ResearchGate?
Relevant answer
Answer
That's a fair point. I am interested metrics like reads because my research focuses on student government and I have noticed that a lot of my readers appear to be students. These students may not yet be publishing academic works or they may be in a different discipline, but even though they are not formally citing the publications in journals, they may be using them to help with student government activities in practice. Keeping an eye on reads and the countries where the readers are may give indications about new student-led initiatives that are emerging. I'm curious about what the potential impacts could be and how this may correspond with changes in metrics like reads over time.

Is it ethical and copyrightable to post ebooks created by ChatGPT on the Internet that lack citation references and commonly plagiarize entire sentences, paragraphs, chapters from other publications taken by OpenAI from various websites?
Over the past few months, a number of offers of various consulting services, training courses and webinars have appeared on online social media, which initially offer the first trial lessons, webinars, training courses as part of a promotion for free and subsequent ones for a fee. Initially, ebooks are offered free of charge as part of the promotion, which are usually developed with the help of ChatGPT, are of poor content quality, usually containing only general, well-known, popular science knowledge, which can be found independently on the Internet on various websites. Besides, the ebooks created with the help of ChatGPT or other similar intelligent chatbots do not contain all the sources correctly listed. Besides, the resulting ebooks contain many passages, whole sentences, paragraphs taken from other publications that are not shown in the bibliography, and plagiarism thus occurs. In addition, in the field of expertise, there are factual errors and irrational, random, random, combined content from different sources, and thus inconsistent with the facts, ridiculous content and/or descriptions of "fictitious facts" occur. This is because much of the database that constitutes the sources of data and information for ChatGPT is factually outdated, as it dates from late 2021 or January 2022. It may happen that in the ChatGPT-generated text there may be some sensitive data of specific companies or public institutions, which found themselves there accidentally by being mistakenly entered into ChatGPT by an employee of a specific company or institution. In view of the above, there are still gaps in paragraphs in the legal norms defining the rules for the correct use of tools such as ChatGPT, and still the adaptation of legal norms to the rapidly developing technology is often done with too much delay. Besides, popular online social media even feature partly free and partly paid training courses and webinars, where Internet users learn how to create texts for articles, columns, essays, etc., as well as chapters for books, which can be published as ebooks, in a relatively easy way with the help of applications available on the Internet based on generative artificial intelligence technology. Besides, in addition to text, graphics, photos, drawings, etc., which are included in the texts of chapters in ebooks can also be generated semi-automatically in applications based on generative artificial intelligence technology. It also happens that during the aforementioned online trainings and webinars, access is sold to specially created websites that act as intermediary platforms, overlays that contain links to various AI-based web applications, which have been classified in a certain way on a specially created platform and, to make identification more difficult, the links are called by different names relative to the web applications to which they direct. In addition, many of these web-based applications based on generative AI technology are made available on the Internet on the original source sites free of charge. On the other hand, on intermediary platforms created by companies or sole proprietors that contain links referencing these applications, access is paid for and is often sold as part of so-called promotional offers during the conducted, aforementioned online training courses and webinars. Internet users usually learn about such online trainings and webinars from banners and advertising posts posted on popular online social media sites.
I described the key issues of opportunities and threats to the development of artificial intelligence technology in my article below:
OPPORTUNITIES AND THREATS TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE APPLICATIONS AND THE NEED FOR NORMATIVE REGULATION OF THIS DEVELOPMENT
In view of the above, I address the following question to the esteemed community of scientists and researchers:
Is it ethical and copyrightable to post on the Internet ebooks created by ChatGPT that lack citation references and commonly plagiarize entire sentences, paragraphs, chapters from other publications taken by OpenAI from various websites?

Ethical questions nowadays are the most important ones especially concerning AI development. It is unethical to use a material without proper references and citations, and a plagiarism is still unacceptable. Authors and researchers who use AI to create an ebooks have to be critical to what was generated and add references manually if other ways do not work.

Based on MLA Formatting and Style Guide, and considering Quora as a web magazine, I would say, in APA:

Dear Carla Rus
Do realize that you ask your question to the open Q&A section of RG and not to someone of the RG team. As you can see, when you go to one of your papers, on the right the number of citations per individual paper, and both mention the correct numbers 3 and 2 respectively.
I checked Google Scholar and your paper entitled “A Girl with selfharm treated with NAC" has four instead of three citations. The missing citation can be found here on RG:
Protective influences of N-acetylcysteine against alcohol abstinence-induced depression by regulating biochemical and GRIN2A , GRIN2B gene expression of NMDA receptor signaling pathway in rats
unfortunately this paper is not indexed fully correct since as you can see (looking at the tab ‘references’) the RG search engine/algorithm picked up 14 references while the paper (click on the DOI) has 62 references (including your paper). Since none of the (automated) systems is flawless (RG, Google Scholar, Scopus, Elsevier etc.) there is I’m afraid not much you can do about it.
In general Google Scholar is the most complete database when it comes to citation numbers.

As indicated by Wolfgang R. Dick unfortunately none of these indexes/databases are flawless. Unfortunately at least one of the citations in Semantic Scholar https://www.semanticscholar.org/paper/Utilization-of-Waste-Plastic-In-Bitumen-Mahalakshmi-Priyankaprakash/69506e6a4a98a836eef74929d7d83742bd873b71 doesn’t cite your paper: Comparative Analysis of Conventional and Waste Polyethylene Modified Bituminous Mixes https://www.atlantis-press.com/proceedings/rsete-13/8199
And one entitled “Use of Plastic in Road Construction Material : Towards Solid Waste Minimization” is untraceable in both Google and Google scholar.
However “Experimental study on characteristics of bitumen mixed with plastic waste and natural fiber” (https://www.ijariit.com/manuscripts/v5i4/V5I4-1311.pdf ) really cites your paper, but unfortunately, this paper in IJARIT is not uploaded in ResearchGate and I was unable to find the authors (here on RG).
I saw your GS profile. Unfortunately (most of) the journals where you published your papers in have no presence on Google Scholar (and manually add your papers to your profile does not really make them ‘indexed’ and searchable in GS). Not sure how long ago you uploaded your papers here on RG but sometimes it works to upload your paper on academia.edu as well (with the limited free version you can upload your papers) to increase and speed up the time it takes for Google Scholar to pick up your papers (and possible citations).
Best regards.

What is the usual method for obtaining export citations from Google Scholar? I tried to use Harzing's Publish or Perish, but the interface limits results to only the first 200 searches.

I inferred that there isn't a direct and simple bulk export option available.
I assumed that all SRMA with inclusion of gg scholar searches just rely on manual exports from libraries. Or complex scraper programs which can be challenging for those without programming knowledge.
I've found Harzing's Publish or Perish to be the most user friendly (link: https://harzing.com/resources/publish-or-perish) but with a limitation of 200 searches (equivalent to 10 pages) to avoid IP blocking from Google. Another option to consider is the gsscraper package using R from GitHub with unlimited number of search results+ user friendly interface through a Shiny app (link: https://github.com/nealhaddaway/GSscraper). The site shows that my works are cited in some papers, however when I checked those papers, I found no sign of being referenced (on the other hand my work is referenced in completely different text, which is not recognised at all, maybe because those text weren't uploaded to the site). How to ensure the citations are attribute correctly?
Relevant answer
Answer
If you've found discrepancies between the citations listed on the website and the actual content of the papers, there are several steps you can take to ensure that your work is attributed correctly:
  1. Contact the Authors:Reach out to the authors of the papers directly and inquire about the discrepancy. Politely ask for clarification on the specific sections or pages where your work is cited.
  2. Examine the Papers Thoroughly:Double-check the papers thoroughly to ensure you haven't missed any references to your work. Sometimes, citations might be in footnotes, endnotes, or supplementary materials.
  3. Check for Preprints or Supplementary Materials:Look for preprints or supplementary materials associated with the papers. Sometimes, additional information or citations can be found in these materials.
  4. Verify the Website's Information:Confirm that the information on the website is accurate. It's possible that there might be errors or delays in updating the citation database. If the website allows users to upload their own papers, there could be a delay in reflecting the most recent changes.
  5. Use Academic Search Engines:Use academic search engines, such as Google Scholar or PubMed, to search for your work in connection with the papers in question. These platforms often provide more comprehensive and accurate information on citations.
  6. Contact the Website Administrator:If the website is maintained by an organization or platform, consider reaching out to the administrator or support team. The impact of retracted papers on the scientific community can be significant and far-reaching. When a scientific paper is retracted, it means that the findings and conclusions presented in the paper are no longer considered valid or reliable. This can have serious consequences for future research, as other researchers may have built their work upon the now-discredited findings. Furthermore, retracted papers can erode public trust in the scientific community and raise questions about the peer-review process and the rigor of scientific research.
Relevant answer
Answer
There is nothing anyone can do about article retraction especially if scholars already cited the article before it was retracted. In fact, there is no impact on the authors who cited the retracted papers if they cited it before it was retracted. This is because research papers are published on the expectation that the journal editor and reviewers have certified that the findings are credible.

Regarding citations for articles: I have 79 citations for my articles. but research score it is showing only 1. What is the reason for this mismatch ?
Relevant answer
Answer
It is primarily caused by the fact that something goes wrong with your most cited paper: Virigineni, M., & Rao, M. B. (2017). Contemporary developments in behavioral finance. International Journal of Economics and Financial Issues, 7(1), 448-459. (according to GS 74 times).
You have included it in your profile here on RG but somewhat incomplete, what you can try is:
-Change the title exactly to Contemporary developments in behavioral finance (so with the journal title)
-If possible, since the journal title is most likely not available in the database of RG, add more details like issue number, page info, publication date etc.
-Although I think that just the correct title will pick up citations you can also add details in the abstract section
Perhaps you can try adding alternative names as well, see https://help.researchgate.net/hc/en-us/articles/14292798510993-Authorship where they state: “You can add an alternative name in a few easy steps:
Go to your profile and click on Edit next to your name
Click on the Edit name button at the bottom of the box that appears
Fill out the Alternative name fields and click Save.”
This might increase the chance that citations are picked up correctly as well.
Best regards.

The research gate can not recognize the citations for articles registered in it.
Relevant answer
Answer
Indeed, RG's automated algorithm has often problems with the identification of citations, but in many cases it works well. We as users do not know on which factors this depends. If you're using a number such as a statistic from a reference study you want to cite, should you write the number with the confidence interval? And how to effectively prevent plagiarism when dealing with numbers?
Thank you!
Relevant answer
Answer
Iltimass Gouazar when you’re citing statistics from a reference study, it’s generally a good practice to report the confidence intervals as well. Including them adds context to the statistic and gives a sense of the uncertainty or variability associated with the estimate. However, to prevent plagiarism, you do the needful which is to cite each of your sources and paraphrase using your own words.

The problem that I would like to solve is that two identical versions of a publication are listed as distinct RG-items in my account, because they have slightly different titles. Is it possible to merge these two items, so that the reads and citations are added together? Thanks colleagues!
Relevant answer
Answer
You have to make them identical by editing, then the two entries will merge automatically. See "How do I edit my research item's details?" in https://help.researchgate.net/hc/en-us/articles/14293081125777-Reviewing-editing-and-featuring-your-research for instructions. But there are a few conditions, e.g. that none of them should have a DOI. If this is not the case, delete the DOI and add it again after RG will have merged the entries. See also the section "Why are there duplicate research items on my profile?" in the same help page for more details about merging two entries.

Question

Several of my colleagues and students asked me this question, and the short answer is no; student paper citations are generally not considered in the similarity ratio of a paper submitted for publication in a journal.
Here's the reasoning behind this:
The primary focus of similarity checks is on published sources. Plagiarism detection tools in academic publishing, such as Crossref Similarity Check or iThenticate, primarily compare submitted manuscripts against academic databases containing published journal articles, books, conference proceedings, and other scholarly works. Student papers and unpublished materials are generally not part of these databases.
Citation styles are not considered in the analysis. Even if your citations involve student papers, the actual citation text and reference formatting (e.g., author names, dates, titles) would be excluded from the analysis. These tools are designed to identify uncredited ideas and text passages, not to evaluate standard citation practices.
The emphasis is on originality and novelty. The main purpose of similarity checks in academic publishing is to ensure the originality and novelty of the submitted work. While proper citation is essential for academic integrity, the content of student papers is not relevant when assessing the uniqueness of a research publication.
However, there are situations where student paper citations may raise concerns:
Self-plagiarism: If you're citing your own student papers in the published work, it's crucial to ensure that the reused content is substantial and properly rephrased with appropriate attributions. Excessive self-plagiarism can still be problematic even if the original work is not published.
Unpublished sources: If the student papers you're citing have a significant impact on your research, consider reaching out to the authors to inquire about their plans for publication. Alternatively, provide detailed information about the unpublished sources (e.g., author names, institutions, titles, dates) with your submission to give reviewers context.
In conclusion, it is advisable to adhere to standard academic citation guidelines regardless of whether the source is published. If you are unsure about the appropriateness of citing student papers, seek guidance from your research advisor or editor, considering the specific requirements of your field and publication.

Google Scholars citation counts are needed for promotion in my institution. Since my citations are not reflected in my Google Scholars account, my h-index continues to remain low. This stopped my promotion in the past year. I need assistance please.
Thank you very much.
Akpan, Samuel S.
Relevant answer
Answer
Dear Samuel Akpan As far as I can see there is no difference between your RG profile and your GS profile https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=CDqtZXcAAAAJ&hl=nl&oi=sra
The citations of 2023 are depicted in the graph on the right and thus counted.
You need to realise what the h-index is and how it is calculated. All time h-index shows 4 meaning that there are 4 papers with at least 4 citations. The other mentioned h-index is based on the number of citations in the last five years and apparently there are 2 papers with at least 2 citations. So despite the fact that your papers had (new) citations this does not necessary means that the h-index will change.
Best regards.

Actually it is not even necessary that the residuals are normally distributed to do the regression, only if you want to trust the p values.

Still I'm unable to search myself on Google scholar nor in Google search.
Found in others something in their profile mentioning public access. My co-authors profile is searchable but not mine.
How to make it so?

I checked I have not added texts manually, all via google add and search via doi URL

Dear Shubham Kumar Gupta I can come up with two things:
-Some of the papers in your profile seems to added manually while the papers are already indexed in Google Scholar. Click on logo with the + and select "add articles"
-Presumably your e-mail address is not an official institutional e-mail (or at least not recognised by GS), this is why your GS profile is not publicly available in Google Scholar
