Peak overlapping is not the only cause of peak broadening. Please consider also other effects like, for instance, incomplete charge collection in your detector. The peak shape has been extensively studied and there are many articles in literature. The detail to study the peak shape depends much on your detector intrinsic resolution. I can suggest two articles of mine and the citations inside: "Understanding the X-ray emission spectrum after excitation with a source of X-rays: From theory to experiment. How I can calculate SPEI index from grid data in R or R Studio, Please share code or video tutorials?
Relevant answer
Answer
I was looking for a similar code, finally, I found out how to do it using SPEI package guide in R. After extracting precipitation and PET in your grid cells, first, you need to prepare your CWB (climatic water balance) matrix which is calculated by subtracting precipitation by PET in each grid cell (Precipitation - PET). CWB matrix should have a column for each grid cell and rows containing corresponding dates. I have attached screenshots of precipitation CWB. Also, keep in mind that your CWB should be NA-freeUsing. USinng the below code you can simply calculate SPEI at various time scales.
library(raster)
library(terra)
library(dplyr)
library(SPEI)
library(ggplot2)
setwd("")
sts <- read.csv("centerlatlon.csv")
PET <- raster::brick("pet.nc", varname="Ep")
pet_data <- raster::extract(PET, cbind(x=sts$X, y=sts$Y))
pet_df <- t(pet_data)
#write.csv(pet_df, "PET.csv")
precipitation=raster::brick("precipitation.nc", varname="precipitation")
precipitation_data=raster::extract(precipitation,cbind(x=sts$X, y=sts$Y))
precipitation_df=t(precipitation_data)
# write.csv(precipitation_df, "precipitation.csv")
cwb_df <- precipitation_df - pet_df
cwb_df <- as.data.frame(cwb_df)
# to fill NA values in CWB, Iterate through each row of the matrix
for (i in 1:nrow(cwb_df)) {
# Iterate through each column, starting from the second to the second last
for (j in 2:(ncol(cwb_df) - 1)) {
# Check if the current cell is NA
if (is.na(cwb_df[i, j])) {
# Initialize an empty vector to hold non-NA adjacent values
adjacent_values <- numeric(0)
# Add the previous column's value if it's not NA
if (!is.na(cwb_df[i, j - 1])) {
adjacent_values <- c(adjacent_values, cwb_df[i, j - 1])
}
# Add the next column's value if it's not NA
if (!is.na(cwb_df[i, j + 1])) {
adjacent_values <- c(adjacent_values, cwb_df[i, j + 1])
}
# If there are any non-NA adjacent values, calculate the mean and replace the NA
if (length(adjacent_values) > 0) {
cwb_df[i, j] <- mean(adjacent_values)
}
}
}
}
cwb_df <- as.matrix(cwb_df)
# Calculate SPEI for a 12-month scale
spei_results <- spei(cwb_df, 12)
#plot(spei_results)
spei_values <- spei_results$fitted

I have recently published a paper in a Scopus-indexed journal. Is DOI essential? How long will it take to get DOI ?
Thanks in advance
Relevant answer
Answer
Firstly - congratulations on getting your paper published in a Scopus-indexed journal!))) A DOI (Digital Object Identifier) is indeed essential for your paper. It is a unique alphanumeric string assigned to a digital object, such as an academic article, and serves as a permanent link to that object on the internet. DOIs make it easier for readers to find and cite your work, and they also ensure that your paper remains accessible and citable over time.
In terms of when you'll receive the DOI for your paper, it typically depends on the publishing process of the journal. Some journals assign DOIs shortly after a paper is accepted and goes through the final stages of production, while others may assign DOIs upon publication or shortly thereafter. It's best to check with the editorial office or the publisher of the journal for specific information about when you can expect to receive the DOI for your paper.
If your paper has already been published and you haven't received the DOI yet, I recommend reaching out to the editorial office or the publisher to inquire about the status of the DOI assignment. They should be able to provide you with more information and assistance.
Once you have the DOI for your paper, be sure to include it in your publication details, such as in the header or footer of your paper, so that readers can easily find and cite your work.
Sincerely

I want to calculate hosoya index of different family of graphs and i need any software for this. If any one can help me
Relevant answer
Answer
I've developed a program that addresses this problem using Python through transforming the condition of non-incidence to a number-theoretical problem. For example, if we're given an edge set of the graph: $E(G) = \{(1, 2), (2,3), (3,4), (4,5), (5,1)\}$. I simply defined a condition that it checks for the edges with no common vertex and through BSA from the independent edge-set of size one, so on and so forth.
For example: {(2,3)} is an independent singleton. The program then checks for any other edge in the edge set that contains neither 2 or 3 e.g. (4,5). Now it checks for another larger independent edge set. That is whether there is an edge that does not contain (2,3,4,5). The program will do this for every edge singleton. Some results involving the Hosoya index coincide with the results of my program.

Good Day researchers.
I am currently looking for some journals that have high acceptance rate(AR) and average impact factor(IF). My work is on battery materials.
I am currently looking at "The Chemical Record" and "Scientific Report". Both have an impact factor of around 5 and an acceptance rate >50%.
However I feel those should be my safe bet, and I should aim for something with higher impact factor (around 10) and with >36% acceptance rate.
Do you have any Journal suggestions? Is there a centralized place I can see what are my options? I feel a place we can see most journals' IFs and ARs can help researchers greatly in selecting where to publish.

I would like to know if it is truly significant and if it can also be another cause of the increase in LD levels and hemolysis index in SE and HP blood tubes.
Relevant answer
Answer
The filling velocity of underfilled serum and heparin tubes has a significant impact on lactate dehydrogenase (LD) levels and the hemolysis index. Studies show that underfilling blood collection tubes results in higher LD activity and increased hemolysis index when compared to fully filled tubes. According to Neuwinger et al. (2019), increasing LD levels and the hemolysis index is largely dependent on the filling velocity of underfilled tubes. In particular, the filling velocity of the first half of the blood volume is much greater than that of the second half, suggesting that different filling velocities are responsible for the elevated hemolysis index and LD levels in underfilled tubes.

If you use the observed data 2006-2019 the overlap period is not enough. To do the bias correction the overlap period is more than 80%. Therefore, the historical and observed data will be sufficient to get the correct. If you use 100% overlap period I am sure you get the perfect extracted data.

Should I use the traditional UHI index classification (<0, 0-0.005, 0.005-0.010, 0.010-0.015, 0.015-0.020) where 99% of my area falls under UHI effect, or would a natural classification or classification like this (<0, 0-0.05, 0.05-0.10, 0.10-0.15, 0.15-0.20, >0.20) be more suitable for studying the urban heat island effect in our tropical region?
Relevant answer
Answer
Choosing between the traditional UHI index classification and the alternative classification (<0, 0-0.05, 0.05-0.10, 0.10-0.15, 0.15-0.20, >0.20) for studying the urban heat island effect in a tropical region depends on factors such as data resolution, local climate, research objectives, and the need for comparative analysis. Higher resolution data and focusing on nuanced temperature variations may favor the traditional classification. At the same time, broader patterns of UHI across more significant regions might be better captured by the alternative classification with wider intervals. Considering the study area's specific research goals and characteristics is crucial in selecting the most suitable classification scheme to provide meaningful insights into the UHI phenomenon.

Hello to everyone. I ran into this issue that most likely is a simple one. But, when performing the Sørensen-Dice index, what happens when there's no shared species with lower abundance? I mean, I have these two communities with n number of shared species, but all of them has the same abundance, what next? is it possible to calculate this index anway? the formula goes as follows: S-D index=2pN/aN+bN
Where pN is the sum of the lower abundances of all the shared species between communities. aN is the total number of individuals from site A and bN is the total number of individuals from site B.
Thanks for your attention.

Since there is no consensual definitition of Life Quality, it makes it harder for me to be selective towards them.
I'm not even sure which field best works with this concept, since its largely used within the medical field, that's not my point in this research. And economy also uses it but it doesnt seem to show any sociological base and its focused on measuring it and not describing it.

Dear all,
I get invitation as reviewer in Jordan Journal of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering http://jjmie.hu.edu.jo/
The journal is indexed in scopus
Is this journal predatory?
Do you have any experience about this journal?
Thank you
Best regards

Answer
Dear Teguh Hady Ariwibowo I would not doubt. They are as indicated not only indexed in Clarivate's ESCI but also (for many years) indexed in Scopus https://www.scopus.com/sourceid/20000195025
When it comes to your observation about their (somewhat basic) submission system this is simply because the journal does not charge you any fee as author and consequently they have to run a 'low budget' operation.
I think this is definitely a safe choice.

Hello Folks,
Here's my profile (https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Hardik-Shah-46/research) and I added 7 papers today. Out of these 7, 4 are already indexed in Google Scholar.
Questions:
  1. How much time will it take for the remainder of 3 papers to show up on Google Scholar?
  2. If I access my profile using the link in Chrome in a Incognito tab, I do not see the research papers and neither the Download button against my papers. Is it awaiting approval or processing from the Admin team since I just uploaded them today?
  3. Is there anything related to Copyright I need to do for my papers? When uploading them, nothing was asked.
  4. Only 1 out of my 7 papers is a post-print, will it be indexed in Google Scholar as well?
  5. Does Google Scholar index faster from Research Gate or arXiv? I need all my 3 papers indexed in Google Scholar as soon as possible.
  6. Is there a way to set a username for my profile? Currently it is Hardik-Shah-46, but can I choose my own?

I indexed my papers on my website and Research Gate and Google Scholar indexed it within two weeks. The technique worked for published papers. I have an accepted (but not published) paper indexed in Arxiv and Research gate, awaiting for it to be indexed.

How can we improve the country's ranking in the Global Innovation Index?
Relevant answer
Answer
Why would you want to improve a country's ranking in the Global Innovation Index?
Why not to improve the innovation performance of a country, especially the favourable socio-economic impacts of innovation?
Considering any ranking can be easily misleading. It is more pertinent, more useful to have a good understanding of the national innovation system of a country (and depending on the country, also the regional and sectoral innovation systems inside that country).
For the pitfalls of GII (and the European Innovation Scoreboard), and more generally, that of composite indicators, see, e.g.

I overlooked your paper in “Advanced Mathematical Models & Applications”. I you look at https://www.scopus.com/sourceid/21101057377 and click on ‘Scopus content coverage’ you see that Scopus indexed 21 papers published in 2023 so far.
I think that the journal forwarded the (meta)data of the first two issues and not yet that of the papers from issue 3 (where your paper is published in).

What is Global Innovation Index?
Relevant answer
Answer
Dear Alwielland,
The Global Innovation Index (GII) is an annual report published by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), in collaboration with other organizations such as Cornell University and INSEAD. It provides a comprehensive assessment of the innovation capabilities and performance of countries around the world.
It consists of inputs as well as outputs which are classified into 7 seven pillars.
At the end of the day, each country takes its value (score) in the normalized Global Innovation Index. Also, you can find (in annual reports) the ranking of countries based on their scores.

Journal publication problem with the publisher.(IJRITCC)
Relevant answer
Answer
There is potentially good when it comes to your paper and unfortunately quite some bad news when it comes to the publisher behind the journal IJRITCC. The bad news is that the publisher behind the journal “Auricles (Global Society of Education and Research)” is a publisher with a dubious reputation:
-A journal published by this publisher is extensively discussed here https://www.researchgate.net/post/Do_you_know_any_Editor_name_or_mail_contact_for_the_Mathematical_Statistician_and_Engineering_Association_J and as mentioned in my reply the Scilit site links the “publisher” “Auricle Technologies, Pvt., Ltd.” https://www.scilit.net/publishers/5394 to numerous journals with “issues” and those indicated with *** are already identified as titles that have been hijacked (https://retractionwatch.com/the-retraction-watch-hijacked-journal-checker/ ):
-Turkish Journal of Computer and Mathematics Education (turcomat)***

-Journal of Advanced Zoology
-International Journal on Future Revolution in Computer Science & Communication Engineering
-International Journal on Recent Technologies in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering
-International Journal on Recent Trends in Life Science & Mathematics
-International Journal of Modern Agriculture
-Psychology and Education***
-Another journal title published by them (Auricle) is suffering with Scopus indexing issues as wellhttps://www.researchgate.net/post/All-the-papers-or-articles-published-in-Scopus-Indexed-journals-will-be-in-Scopus-Database-or-not

-If you click on Scopus content coverage of the journal IJRITCC at their Scopus link (https://www.scopus.com/sourceid/21101089961 ) you see why the journal is discontinued, they publish a suspicious larger number of papers in 2022 and even more in 2023 compared to the years before their Scopus indexing
Based on this I am afraid that this publisher does not operate according to proper scientific publishing standards and most likely will not do much with the complaint.
However, there might be potentially good news since if you look at the list of discontinued titles and go to the last few columns where Scopus indicate the details about the final coverage (see enclosed file) then the Scopus coverage will include everything up to volume(issue) 11(9s). Since yours is published in volume 11 issue 8 you might have some hope that your paper will be indexed
(Satyanarayana Nimmala, et al. (2023). Crop Recommendation System Using Improved Apriori Algorithm. International Journal on Recent and Innovation Trends in Computing and Communication, 11(8), 409–415. https://doi.org/10.17762/ijritcc.v11i8.9083 ).

Hello,
I am running process_radtags 2.53 on a set of sequences obtained from an Illumina NovaSeq 6000 platform at Genome Quebec. They were able to demultiplex the reads already (I'm just doing quality filtering), so I assume that the barcodes were successfully read by the company.
The problem is as follows:
I developed my rad tags using a double digest approach with paired-end combinatorial indexed barcodes. However, process_radtags will not read my files as paired (only as single-end). It was able to read both the sequence files (which are fastq.gz format) and the barcode file I'm using, so I went forward (note: this was a test to get process_radtags to read the files, so I did not include any cleaning or rescue functions). All of the reads returned as ambiguous barcodes, which is odd given that the samples were already demultiplexed from pooled libraries and the barcode file was formatted accordingly.
Here are some examples of the file names for my read files:
NS.1518.002.Msp1_4---Pst1_7.121419-31_R1.fastq.gz
NS.1518.002.Msp1_4---Pst1_7.121419-31_R2.fastq.gz
When I tried this again adding in the -c -q -r functions, I got the error message (Segmentation fault). My current line of code is as follows:
process_radtags  -p ./Da_Data/ -b ./Barcodes/Sample_Barcode_Match_Tab.csv -o ./Prophecy/ -c -q -r --index_index --renz_1 pstI --renz_2 mspI
Does anyone know what the issue might be?
If additional information is needed, just ask and I'm happy to provide it.
Thank you!

While researching the rental segment in Poland, I came to the conclusion that there is a lack of a certain indicator/index that applies in other segments of the real estate market. It is an index of the availability of rental apartments for households. This led me to try to develop such an indicator. I tested it on data from the Polish apartment rental segment. The results are very positive. However, I would like to compare my results with data from other countries. That's why I'm looking for a partner from other European countries to implement this project.
More information on my profile in the "method" tab
DOI:10.13140/RG.2.2.11447.09127
Relevant answer
Answer
In the proposed method, I take into account the income of households (i.e. the demand side) and the aspect of housing supply (rental offers). Of course, the aspect of the demand-supply gap can be emphasized. I didn't want to emphasize it. Rather, the gap indicates some instabilities. On the other hand, I wanted to develop an indicator that would be possible to be periodically tested in the real economy using available data. That's why I adopted a diw perspective: demand and supply. Now, as I'm writing to you, an idea came to my mind. Can't this indicator be "corrected" by the influence of the institution? You are also an institutionalist. This would mean that my original formula should be enriched with some "institutional index" that would reveal the impact of the institutional environment on the availability of apartments for rent. Interesting - I guess. This could mean that the concept of accessibility needs to be redefined. My HRAI index could reveal the level of availability of apartment rentals based on the income and supply aspects, which are "verified" by the power of institutions operating in the real economy. Interesting in my opinion. What do you think about it? Maybe we can do something together in this area - if they can propose it to the professor - me as a humble PhD?

It is indeed highly unclear when it comes to this journal “Materials Express” (and the publisher behind it). There are mixed indications:
-If you look at Scopus source https://www.scopus.com/sourceid/21100223162 you could conclude that the journal title is indexed just as indicated by the journal on their indexing info
-If you look at this same link https://www.scopus.com/sourceid/21100223162 and select Scopus content coverage then the conclusion should be that the indexing stopped somewhere in 2021 and therefor this journal title is no longer indexed
-The same Scopus link is missing a link to the homepage (the same is true in the corresponding SCImago page) this is often an indication that Scopus is evaluating the journal title (and at least having trouble in verifying the real contact info) and the conclusion might be that the indexing if still active is most likely will be discontinued
-Indeed, if you go to Scopus sources and select publisher and look at “American Scientific Publishers” (https://www.scopus.com/sources.uri ) you can see that 16 of their journal titles are discontinued (or inactive and therefor no longer active indexing)
-The publisher is mentioned in the Beall’s list of potential predatory publishers (https://beallslist.net )
-Mysteriously enough the journal “Materials Express” is still indexed in Clarivate’s SCIE (you can check that here https://mjl.clarivate.com/home ) but if you look at my reply of 1st December 2019 here https://www.researchgate.net/post/Journals_removed_from_JCR_by_high_levels_of_self-citation_and_by_concentration_of_citations_between_journals it is clear that numerous titles where suppressed (and removed?) so like the discontinuation by Scopus there seem to be all sorts of ‘issues’
So, I think that the indexed stopped already (or will be discontinued in the near future) and personally I would find it all too uncertain and I would look for another journal (and publisher).
Best regards.

I am thinking to use 'energy trade index' for the EU countries in the model for different years to calculate the degree of energy market integration. Now, how can I get the dataset or from where can I get the dataset? Thanks in advance.
Relevant answer
Answer
I did not work hard, I just forwarded your question to my friend Bared - in the age of artificial intelligence, the answers have become easier - I will leave you the link at the end of the answer:
the answer
There are several sources where you can obtain a dataset of energy trade indices for different years and countries to calculate the degree of energy market integration. Here are some examples:
International Organizations:
  1. International Monetary Fund (IMF): The IMF's "World Economic Outlook" database includes energy trade indices for various countries and years. You can access this database through the IMF's website.
  2. Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD): The OECD's "International Energy Statistics" database features energy trade indices for diverse countries and years. You can access this database through the OECD's website.
  3. International Energy Agency (IEA): The IEA's "World Energy Statistics" database houses energy trade indices for various countries and years. You can access this database through the IEA's website.
Online Data Platforms:
  1. Data World: Data World is a platform dedicated to sharing and curating economic data. They offer a dataset of energy trade indices for various countries and years.
  2. Kaggle: Kaggle is a renowned platform for hosting and sharing datasets for data science and machine learning tasks. They often feature datasets related to energy trade indices.
Custom Data Collection:
  1. National Statistical Agencies: Many national statistical agencies maintain databases of energy trade data. You can contact the relevant agency in your country or the countries of interest to inquire about their data collection practices and access procedures.
  2. Energy Market Operator Data: Energy market operators (EMOs) manage cross-border energy trade. They often publish reports and data on energy trade flows. You can check the websites of EMOs in the countries of interest to find relevant data.
After acquiring the dataset, you can utilize it to calculate the degree of energy market integration. Several methods exist, but one common approach is to employ the Economic Integration Index (ECI). The ECI measures the ratio of energy trade to gross domestic product (GDP). The higher the ECI value, the greater the degree of energy market integration.
Here's an example of calculating the degree of energy market integration using the ECI:
Assume we have a dataset containing information on energy trade and GDP for a country for years 2020, 2021, and 2022. Using this data, we can calculate the ECI for each year as follows:
ECI_2020 = (Energy trade value in 2020 / GDP in 2020) * 100 ECI_2021 = (Energy trade value in 2021 / GDP in 2021) * 100 ECI_2022 = (Energy trade value in 2022 / GDP in 2022) * 100
If ECI_2020 = 20, it indicates that the energy trade-to-GDP ratio in 2020 was 20%. If ECI_2021 = 25, it implies that the energy trade-to-GDP ratio in 2021 was 25%. And if ECI_2022 = 30, it suggests that the energy trade-to-GDP ratio in 2022 was 30%.
Using these values, we can calculate the average ECI index over the three years as follows:
(ECI_2020 + ECI_2021 + ECI_2022) / 3
In this scenario, the average ECI index would be 25.
This average can be used to measure the degree of energy market integration in the country under consideration. The higher the average ECI index, the greater the degree of energy market integration.

Hi all
I'm thinking about a challenge that I have recently faced, which may be common for the majority of researchers. What criteria do you think are important for selecting a case study from among multiple options?
Best Wishes.
Relevant answer
I have never have any experience on index in selecting case study as most of our case studies are selected based on research project goals and on-going collaboration with current selected case study's authorities. Unless if you are starting your research from zero. Then u may need a real complex and proper selection index. But, personally I would say 'Research project's predetermined aim/selection/purpose/goals' may be the highest criteria. Other criteria may include, 'regional variety', 'method application', etc.

-The journal management system eJM (eJManager) is mentioned in the Beall’s list (https://beallslist.net ), see also https://forbetterscience.com/2023/01/25/the-pullulating-polyps-of-omics/ where eJM was discussed not that positively
-Indexing info https://mdpub.net/index.php?sec=jindex mentions ESJI and ASI examples of so-called misleading metrics (https://beallslist.net/misleading-metrics/ )
-Not sure where some found the info about their impact factor but be clear this journal (https://mdpub.net ) has NO impact factor (simply because they are not indexed in Clarivate’s ESCI/SCIE or SSCI index, which can be checked here https://mjl.clarivate.com/home )
-The same is true for Scopus, they are NOT indexed in Scopus which can be checked here https://www.scopus.com/sources.uri?zone=TopNavBar&origin=searchbasic and not indexed in PubMed (or PMC)
So not sure whether predatory is the right word but the lack of any serious indexing would for me personally mean: avoid this one.
Best regards.

After publishing a research paper, will it be possible to index it if the journal that published it has not done so.
Relevant answer
Answer
Basically, you need to publish in a journal which is already indexed in databases like Scopus, DOAJ etc. Alternatively, you post your paper to google scholar gate for articles to gain readership and citations.

Hello all,
I have a question. When measured and estimated data do not have the same unit, what are the best error criteria to assess model efficiency or estimation accuracy?
For example, suppose that we want to compare the estimated soil water index (dimensionless and range from 0 to 1) with the measured soil moisture content (g/g).
Thanks in advance,
Reza

Answer
It depends on your goal. If both time series are in the same dimension, you can use many criterias, but if they are not the same, CC can show their correlation and can be useful.
From my point of view KGE is an excellent criteria to compare two time series. In this metric we have CC, Bias and Variability which makes it a complete criteria.

Can I use DIN and PO4 in the given formula :
The trophic index (TRIX) used in the present work has been given by the following formulation (Vollenweideret al.1998):
TRIX = [log(Chla∙ (D%)O2 ∙ TN ∙ TP)] − (−1.5)⁄1.2
Where:
• Chl-a - Chlorophyll-a concentration (mg/m3 )
• (D%)O2 – The % deviation of the oxygen concentration from saturation conditions (abs [100-%O])
• TN - Total nitrogen (µg/l)
• TP - Total phosphorus (µg/l)
Relevant answer
Answer
DIN likely won't be similar in magnitude to TN. And PO4 wont likely be similar in magnitude to TP. So, if you used that index, the result likely wouldn't be comparable to published values for the index.
But it might be a useful index --- maybe call it "modified TRIX index" --- for comparing multiple sites or a site over time.

The Water Dependency Index (See References)
The comprehensive water balance expresses the amount of virtual water associated with food products trade and defines a "Water Dependency Index" (WDI), which represents the part of net virtual water in the total food demand water equivalent. This assumes that the allowance in Blue Water to irrigation must adjust to the available water once the direct needs insured.
The Food Demand Water Equivalent (FDWE) includes water equivalent of Agricultural Production consumed on the local market and the water-equivalent of agri-food imports. The water equivalent of agricultural production includes green water-equivalent and blue water equivalent.
The "Water Dependency Index" (WDI) defined by Besbes et al. (2002, 2010) represents the net equivalent of Virtual Water volumes (Imports-Exports) within the total food demand and is expressed as: WDI = (IMP-EXP) / FDWE.
If one refers to international literature, the concept of water dependency, as defined by FAO (2003), relates only to blue water; it expresses the external renewable water resources (originating outside the country) as a percentage of the total renewable water resources (internal and external). This definition has been largely used by the scientific community as well as by international organisations.
Based on water footprint concept, Hoekstra and Mekonnen (2012) defined the ‘virtual water import dependency’ of a nation as ‘the ratio of the external to the total water footprint of national consumption’ where total ‘water consumption’ refers to the ‘water needed for the production of the domestic demand for goods and services’. The indicator is conceived to reflect the extent to which a country relies on imports of water in virtual form. The results reported by Hoekstra and Mekonnen (2012) on water dependency give, as it may be expected, high values for water-scarce countries (like Jordan 86%, Israel 82%, Yemen 76%, Lebanon 73%). These results reveal however some striking points; in particular, some water-rich countries such as Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom, and The Netherlands have surprisingly high water dependency indexes between 60–95%.
By relating the Water Dependency Index to agricultural water, the indicator proposed by Besbes et al. (2002, 2010)attempts to go beyond the appraisal of the water dependency level of nations to specify the balance sheet items related to the national food demand. As the net equivalent of virtual water represents the difference between the total food demand water equivalent and the total food production water equivalent, the Water Dependency Index (WDI) could be more explicitly detailed in order to bring out the different contributions to food production: "Blue Water" referring to the use of ground and surface water as well as non-conventional water resources, "Green Water" referring to the water reserves of the soil effectively used in crop production or into direct grazing, and "Virtual Water" referring the flux of the "net virtual water import". The objective is to consider the extent to which greater value for all water resources could be achieved.
As the major part of water resources is directly or indirectly used in food production, the WDI related to food balance is in itself sufficient to reflect the National water security by measuring the level to which a nation relies on foreign water to ensure its food demand. This indicator could be consolidated by financial indicators, for instance, the coverage rate of the agri-food trade balance. The improvement of the food security of a country expressed in terms of WDI will depend on the capacity of the country to improve food productivity either in the irrigated sector (Blue Water, including non-conventional water resource) as well as in the rain-fed agriculture and direct grazing (Green Water). From this point of view, the WDI appears as a major decision-making tool for sustainable water resources management. It is also a learning tool as well as a 'discussion-support' tool that provides a common platform for the coherence of the activities of different actors and stakeholders.

Dear Maher Ali Rusho Sorry to say but what you said is not true. Once a journal title is indexed in Scopus then all papers published by that journal will be indexed by Scopus.
If you claim otherwise do provide a ink where this is mentioned.
Best regards.
PS. There are cases as discussed in for example my reply of October 24th, 2022 where an indexing is discontinued and/or a number of papers are published by the hijacked version of a journal then these papers are not indexed by Scopus.

Science is human thought to model reality. Thus rigor is it's only merit. The entire issue of paper acceptance and publication relates to the over centralized nature of academia:
