Hi,
I would like to publish research paper in journal that is in Scopus or Web of science data bases. Reserach is in education sciences and is a quantitative research. I don't have any budget (very limited budget) so it probbaly can not be an open access publication. As publication is part of a project i am willing to sacrifice journal quality (it can be in Q3 or Q4) over acceptence rate and review time. Maybe somone can recomend some journal that would align with my needs?

Question

I would like to export several search result lists from different databases (ProQuest, Scopus, WoS, Ebsco) and use them for a bibliographic analysis. In this context, I would also like to do the citation analysis or coupling. Unfortunately, this information is lost via a reference manager such as Zotero or Endnote. Are there other ways of importing migrated data from the databases mentioned?
Relevant answer
Answer
Yes, you can export search results from ProQuest and merge them with searches from Scopus and Web of Science (WoS) in VOS Viewer or Bibliometrix.
This is how you can do it; first,
Exporting from ProQuest:
After conducting your search on ProQuest, look for an option to export the search results. ProQuest typically allows you to export citations in various formats such as BibTeX, RIS, or plain text. Choose a format compatible with VOS Viewer or Bibliometrix.
Exporting from Scopus and WoS:
Similarly, conduct your searches on Scopus and WoS and export the search results. Both Scopus and WoS provide options to export citations in formats like BibTeX, RIS, or CSV.Merging in VOS Viewer or Bibliometrix: Once you have exported the search results from all three databases, you can merge them in VOS Viewer or Bibliometrix. These tools typically allow you to import citations from various file formats. Follow the instructions provided by the respective software to import the exported files.
Analyzing the Merged Dataset:
After merging the search results, you can analyze the dataset using VOS Viewer or Bibliometrix to visualize and analyze bibliometric data, such as co-authorship networks, citation networks, keyword co-occurrence, and more.
However, by combining search results from ProQuest, Scopus, and WoS, you can create a comprehensive dataset for bibliometric analysis, enabling you to gain insights into research trends, collaborations, and impact across different scholarly domains.
I wish you Goodluck

I have recently published a paper in a Scopus-indexed journal. Is DOI essential? How long will it take to get DOI ?
Thanks in advance
Relevant answer
Answer
Firstly - congratulations on getting your paper published in a Scopus-indexed journal!))) A DOI (Digital Object Identifier) is indeed essential for your paper. It is a unique alphanumeric string assigned to a digital object, such as an academic article, and serves as a permanent link to that object on the internet. DOIs make it easier for readers to find and cite your work, and they also ensure that your paper remains accessible and citable over time.
In terms of when you'll receive the DOI for your paper, it typically depends on the publishing process of the journal. Some journals assign DOIs shortly after a paper is accepted and goes through the final stages of production, while others may assign DOIs upon publication or shortly thereafter. It's best to check with the editorial office or the publisher of the journal for specific information about when you can expect to receive the DOI for your paper.
If your paper has already been published and you haven't received the DOI yet, I recommend reaching out to the editorial office or the publisher to inquire about the status of the DOI assignment. They should be able to provide you with more information and assistance.
Once you have the DOI for your paper, be sure to include it in your publication details, such as in the header or footer of your paper, so that readers can easily find and cite your work.
Sincerely

In Scopus, we can check the paper indexed in Scopus or nor? I do not know how to check the paper indexing in SCI and SCIE.
Relevant answer
Answer
Fundamentally, there is no significant difference between SCI and SCIE journals. However, there are some differences that should be noted. First of all, the coverage area can be mentioned. SCIE journals include over 8500 remarkable and important journals in 150 different disciplines published since 1900. SCI is not so comprehensive. In fact, it can say exactly this. SCI journals are included in SCIE journals. However, SCI journals do not cover all SCIE journals. **Another difference is that in SCI journals, Impact Factor is not important. However, Impact Factor is the most important ranking factor in SCIE journals. (You can see what the impact factor is in this article Impact Factor ) ** The last difference we can consider is the storage method. Accordingly, both SCI and SCIE journals store online articles and journals. However, SCI journals are also stored in CD/DVD format.

Greetings,
I have encountered a situation which is not clear to me! If there is a certain journal indexed only in the Web of Sciences but not in Scopus, would it be a way, certain calculation or algorithm to estimate (at least approximately) within which quartile would it belong?!
Thank you,
Arben
Relevant answer
Answer
Theoretically you can estimate the quartile in Scopus by estimating the SJR (https://researchguides.library.wisc.edu/c.php?g=1226768&p=9004430#:~:text=The%20SJR%20(or%2C%20more%20specifically,in%20the%20journal%20within%20the).
Then go to the SCImago Journal Rankings (https://www.scimagojr.com/journalrank.php?order=sjr&ord=desc ). For example, a SJR value of 1.5 is aways a Q1 journal and a SJR value of 1.1 is in most cases a Q1 journal.
However, the problem is that looking at the way the SJR value is calculated you need to dig up citations from Scopus indexed journals. Furthermore, a journal can be Q1 in let’s say microbiology but a Q2 journal in Cell biology etc. So, questionable whether calculating will work and certainly it is not accepted (internationally) as a meaningful finding.
To get some idea (and nothing more than that) I think it is more useful to use the following rough rule: a Q1 journal in WoS indexing is always Q1 in Scopus and a Q2 journal in WoS is for sure a Q2 journal in Scopus and sometimes even Q1. See for an example in a particular subject category Table 1 in enclosed file). This is because of the difference in database and calculation but also because of the difference in quartile definition (see figure found here https://www.researchvoyage.com/journal-rankings-a-comprehensive-guide/ ) which basically says that the Q1 journals in WoS correspond to the ‘best’ 10% while the Q1 journals in Scopus correspond to the ‘best’ 25 %.
Best regards.

What is the real homepage URL of migration letters journal ?

Relevant answer
Answer
Please stay away from this journal. The publisher has changed, and they still use the migration letters logo, which is from the previous publisher. Moreover, they accept articles without any revision process. Also, they mention they are in the Scopus and WOS; however, they were removed from the Scopus index in 2022. The journal became predatory, according to me, but it's not obvious yet. Plus, check their website. You will see every type of paper except issues related to migration. As you indicated already the journal “HighTech and Innovation Journal” is a nice, legit and genuine journal that is Scopus indexed https://www.scopus.com/sourceid/21101096684 and is (together with three other journals of their publisher) a DOAJ member https://www.doaj.org/toc/2723-9535
Unfortunately, the plagiarized paper is published by a journal/publisher that is most likely predatory:
-Their indexing info is full of so-called misleading metrics (https://beallslist.net/misleading-metrics/ ) like DRJI and CiteFactor, often used by predatory journals/publishers
-Vague contact info (physical address is well..)
-Editorial board has no link whatsoever with Indonesia
I am afraid they will not reply to a request to retract the paper you indicated but I guess the best way is to see if the publisher behind your paper is willing to take action against this journal/publisher and indirectly against these authors who so bluntly plagiarized your paper.
Best regards.

But i require the journal list with impact factor mentioned in it. If anyone has an access, can you share a copy. i would be grateful to you for the kind help.

Answer
Above is the link to the Scopus-source list. But the IF cannot be accessed without Web of Science subscription. One more thing to keep in mind is that not all Scopus-indexed journals have Impact Factor (IF). However, Scopus does provide CiteScore, an IF-like grading system for different journals indexed in the Scopus database. If you search by journal name or ISSN to see whether a particular journal indexed by Scopus is also indexed by WoS, then only you will get its IF.

Dear Teguh Hady Ariwibowo I would not doubt. They are as indicated not only indexed in Clarivate's ESCI but also (for many years) indexed in Scopus https://www.scopus.com/sourceid/20000195025
When it comes to your observation about their (somewhat basic) submission system this is simply because the journal does not charge you any fee as author and consequently they have to run a 'low budget' operation.
I think this is definitely a safe choice.

There is potentially good when it comes to your paper and unfortunately quite some bad news when it comes to the publisher behind the journal IJRITCC. The bad news is that the publisher behind the journal “Auricles (Global Society of Education and Research)” is a publisher with a dubious reputation:
-A journal published by this publisher is extensively discussed here https://www.researchgate.net/post/Do_you_know_any_Editor_name_or_mail_contact_for_the_Mathematical_Statistician_and_Engineering_Association_J and as mentioned in my reply the Scilit site links the “publisher” “Auricle Technologies, Pvt., Ltd.” https://www.scilit.net/publishers/5394 to numerous journals with “issues” and those indicated with *** are already identified as titles that have been hijacked (https://retractionwatch.com/the-retraction-watch-hijacked-journal-checker/ ):

-Psychology and Education***
-Another journal title published by them (Auricle) is suffering with Scopus indexing issues as wellhttps://www.researchgate.net/post/All-the-papers-or-articles-published-in-Scopus-Indexed-journals-will-be-in-Scopus-Database-or-not
Satyanarayana Nimmala, et al. (2023). Crop Recommendation System Using Improved Apriori Algorithm. International Journal on Recent and Innovation Trends in Computing and Communication, 11(8), 409–415. https://doi.org/10.17762/ijritcc.v11i8.9083
-If you click on Scopus content coverage of the journal IJRITCC at their Scopus link (https://www.scopus.com/sourceid/21101089961 ) you see why the journal is discontinued, they publish a suspicious larger number of papers in 2022 and even more in 2023 compared to the years before their Scopus indexing
Based on this I am afraid that this publisher does not operate according to proper scientific publishing standards and most likely will not do much with the complaint.
However, there might be potentially good news since if you look at the list of discontinued titles and go to the last few columns where Scopus indicate the details about the final coverage (see enclosed file) then the Scopus coverage will include everything up to volume(issue) 11(9s). Since yours is published in volume 11 issue 8 you might have some hope that your paper will be indexed
(Satyanarayana Nimmala, et al. (2023). Crop Recommendation System Using Improved Apriori Algorithm. International Journal on Recent and Innovation Trends in Computing and Communication, 11(8), 409–415. https://doi.org/10.17762/ijritcc.v11i8.9083 ).

To our opinion, almetrics as alternative metrics is like an antithesis to classical metrics.
The most important question are sources. For now, the sources are rather undefined
and incomplete. However, following further development of almetrics it is obvious that
the almetrics services are aware of it. Therefore, they have been establishing
cooperation with commercial databases such as Web of Science, Elsevier, Scopus and
many others. Every day through social media we follow development of almetrics,
reading news like „Plum Analytics Joins Elsevier“.The increasing popularity of altmetrics
shows the fact that more publishers put on their website very impressive „donut“ like
BiomedCentral, Nature Publishing Group etc.
Relevant answer
Answer
Have we reached the limits of altmetrics?
"...At first glance it would seem as though the rapidly increasing use of generative AI will inevitably herald the end of altmetrics, but that’s only if everything else remains the same. Undoubtedly it won’t...
Web metrics have always had to adapt as new technologies have emerged and while AI will undoubtedly bring one era of altmetrics to an end, new areas of investigation will undoubtedly emerge. The inclusion of a host of grey literature and patent citations that would previously have been excluded from bibliometrics will likely continue, but the idea that it can meaningfully capture informal content at scale beyond that may be increasingly dubious.
Web metrics has always had softer foundations than bibliometrics, more likely to illicit insights that are interesting rather than authoritative, and it may not be a bad thing if that is as far as they go. Evaluative metrics often have a negative impact, especially when they are given too much credibility, so reining in altmetrics just as they are gaining interest is not necessarily a bad thing..."

The SCImago Journal Rank (SJR) is a metric used to evaluate the prestige and impact of academic journals, while Scopus is a comprehensive abstract and citation database provided by Elsevier. The relationship between SJR and Scopus is that SJR is one of the many bibliometric indicators and metrics that can be found within the Scopus database.
Relevant answer
Answer

I received an email invitation to publish in the journal Twist (https://twistjournal.net/). The journal boasts that it is indexed in the Scopus database. Actually, a journal with the same name and ISSN is indexed in the Scopus database. However, by checking the published articles and the articles in the Scopus database, I found that the articles on the journal's website do not match the entries in the Scopus database. Thus, it is probably a fraudulent journal masquerading as another journal. The aim of these stolen journals is to extort a publication fee (APC) from the authors. The problem is that articles from such a fraudulent journal will never be indexed in databases such as Scopus or Web of Science.
Compared to regular fraudulent journals, where a quick scan of their website can easily reveal that it is a scam, this scam is more sophisticated. The main danger is that this journal's website is built on a real publishing platform and thus it is impossible to identify at a glance that it is a scam. The authors of the site have also gone to considerable lengths to ensure that the journal's archive and other information are filled in.
When receiving an invitation to publish in a journal in person, I recommend making a few simple checks:
1. scan the magazine's website to make sure it is not just the home page and the other subpages are not functional
2. Check the journal's archive - most predatory or stolen journals have an empty or inaccessible archive - even this scam journal only has abstracts in back issues
3. Check that the journal is actually indexed in the databases to which it subscribes (WoS and Scopus are important to us as they are included in the Methodology 17+ assessment)
4. For online journals, check that the link from the WoS or Scopus database leads to the same journal
Does anyone have experience with this journal?
Relevant answer
Answer
Great find. I think you are absolutely right, the link you received from these people refers to the fake/hijacked version of the legit trade journal “Twist”. Thanks to homepage link mentioned in the SCImago link of this journal (https://www.scimagojr.com/journalsearch.php?q=12600154713&tip=sid&clean=0 ) I found the original website https://www.wtin.com (only accessible after registration).
Examples of how the real magazine looks like I found here: https://issuu.com/contactokmd/docs/modern_thai_silk
https://www.mohair.co.za/mohair-blog/twist-issue-121-october-november-2022 here they provide a link, not sure how long this one will be accessible but here is a complete issue readable: https://publications.wtin.com/view/766512005/2/
Anyway, even if one is unable to find the proof of the legit journal it is clear that for the fake one, we can find numerous red flags:
-The indexing info mentioned on their homepage https://twistjournal.net/twist is full of so-called misleading metrics (https://beallslist.net/misleading-metrics/ ) like Cosmos, DRJI. No serious (Scopus) index journal will mention these so prominently on their site
-The prominently mentioned logo of Clarivate WoS (and impact factor) is misleading since they are not indexed (one can check that here https://mjl.clarivate.com/home )
-The SCImago link mentions that Twist is a trade journal (which most of the time looks more like a flashy magazine), while the fake journal presents themselves as a “real” journal
-The contact info lacks a physical address
-The link to the SCImago page is not working (this is suspect since otherwise one can easily check that the homepage mentioned there is different)
-Etc. Etc.
So, indeed we cannot warn enough against this plague. Hijacking of journal titles is (if possible) even worse than ‘traditional’ predatory journals. See for more info for example here:
Best regards.

There is an open call for papers for a special issue on "Usable Security" (Journal of Cybersecurity and Privacy, https://www.mdpi.com/journal/jcp/special_issues/C58Y3TV878). The journal was launched not long ago and is now indexed on Scopus. The idea is to make a special issue as diverse as possible with contributions from computer science to the humanities.
Anyone interested? What are the most important topics you think should be covered?
Relevant answer
Answer
"Usable Security" refers to a field of study at the intersection of cybersecurity and user experience, emphasizing the design of security features that are not only robust but also easy for users to understand and operate. This concept acknowledges that the effectiveness of security measures is heavily dependent on their usability. Users are more likely to correctly and consistently apply security measures that are intuitive and seamlessly integrate into their regular workflows.
The upcoming special issue on "Usable Security" in the Journal of Cybersecurity and Privacy offers an excellent opportunity for contributions spanning a wide range of disciplines, from computer science to humanities. This interdisciplinary approach is vital because usable security is not just a technical challenge but also involves understanding human behavior, psychology, and social dynamics in the context of cybersecurity.
Key topics for this special issue could include user-centric design approaches to cybersecurity, the psychology of security behavior, the impact of cultural and social factors on security practices, and methods for effective user education and training in security. Additionally, studies on the usability of specific security technologies, like authentication methods or encryption software, and research on the balance between security strength and user convenience would be highly relevant.
This call for papers presents a unique chance to delve into how various disciplines contribute to making cybersecurity more accessible and effective for users. It's an invitation to explore and innovate in a field that's becoming increasingly crucial as our reliance on technology grows.

Good day. I am responsible for the inclusion of the journal Reports of Morphology in the Web of Science and Scopus scientometric databases. A month ago, the journal received approval for inclusion in Scopus (Web of Science is in the third stage of verification. Pub Med is in the final stages of inspection). Our articles are already indexed (proof):
I am also currently involved in promoting the journal to the international scientific community.
The journal is aimed specifically at morphology: forensic medicine (with morphology), pathological anatomy, normal anatomy, normal histology, cytology, embryology.
The cost of publication is 6 dollars per page.
The journal is published 4 times a year, with 10 publications in each issue.
Articles are reviewed - that's why adequate quality photos, adequate list of references, correspondence to the topic of the journal, etc. are necessary.
Review articles or case reports are not accepted.
We will be glad for your publications.

Indeed, we cannot warn enough about the existence of imposters trying to mislead researchers. Your example is not so much an example of a predatory journal, but a typical example of a journal hijacked by a bunch of basically criminals.
According to a well-established source of already identified hijacked (also called cloned) journal titles:
the only original and legit website is https://artifexkiado.hu/#online-kepzesek “Metszet” is a highly specialized (magazine like) journal about architecture for and by Hungarians, see enclosed file for an example (https://artifexkiado.hu/termek-cikk/metszet-20234 ).
If one is not aware of the existence of sites where already identified hijacked journal titles can be found (the best and regularly updated source is https://retractionwatch.com/the-retraction-watch-hijacked-journal-checker/) then numerous red flags can be identified:
-Indeed, as you already indicated the names in the editorial board are questionable, the name James Boulton is most likely fake. The late James T. Boulton was a famous and distinguished scientist but nowadays this name is misused not only by the here discussed “Metszet” journal but also by:
The name Behnam Abasht, University of Delaware seems real but I very much doubt whether he is aware of his mentioning in this editorial board (his field of expertise has no relation whatsoever with architecture).
-No contact info, no physical address which is suspect
-ISSN number indicates a Hungarian origin while the fake website has not a single reference to this
-Scopus link https://www.scopus.com/sourceid/21100296228 indicates if one click on the homepage https://tervlap.hu a link that has nothing to do with the fake website
-The indexing info if you scroll to the bottom of the page here https://metszetjournal.com/about/ mentions SCIE, SSCI, AHCI and ECIE. This is sheer nonsense since a journal cannot be indexed in ESCI and SCIE at the same time. The same is true for SSCI and SCIE, it is either SSCI or SCIE.
-If you Google the title then you rapidly stumble on the ORES site. Throughout the years I found that titles mentioned here are titles with ‘issues’ (hijacked, no longer indexed in Scopus etc.)
So, it remains amazing how these people try to mislead researchers so bluntly. Awareness is one of the best ways to battle against this sad phenomenon.
Best regards.

It is indeed highly unclear when it comes to this journal “Materials Express” (and the publisher behind it). There are mixed indications:
-If you look at Scopus source https://www.scopus.com/sourceid/21100223162 you could conclude that the journal title is indexed just as indicated by the journal on their indexing info
-If you look at this same link https://www.scopus.com/sourceid/21100223162 and select Scopus content coverage then the conclusion should be that the indexing stopped somewhere in 2021 and therefor this journal title is no longer indexed
-The same Scopus link is missing a link to the homepage (the same is true in the corresponding SCImago page) this is often an indication that Scopus is evaluating the journal title (and at least having trouble in verifying the real contact info) and the conclusion might be that the indexing if still active is most likely will be discontinued
-Indeed, if you go to Scopus sources and select publisher and look at “American Scientific Publishers” (https://www.scopus.com/sources.uri ) you can see that 16 of their journal titles are discontinued (or inactive and therefor no longer active indexing)
-The publisher is mentioned in the Beall’s list of potential predatory publishers (https://beallslist.net )
-Mysteriously enough the journal “Materials Express” is still indexed in Clarivate’s SCIE (you can check that here https://mjl.clarivate.com/home ) but if you look at my reply of 1st December 2019 here https://www.researchgate.net/post/Journals_removed_from_JCR_by_high_levels_of_self-citation_and_by_concentration_of_citations_between_journals it is clear that numerous titles where suppressed (and removed?) so like the discontinuation by Scopus there seem to be all sorts of ‘issues’
So, I think that the indexed stopped already (or will be discontinued in the near future) and personally I would find it all too uncertain and I would look for another journal (and publisher).
Best regards.

I am searching the integrated Industry 4.0 and Circular Supply Chain adoption Risk but unable to get articles in Scopus or Google scholar.
Articles are related to either barriers or challenges of the above.
OR purely risk of Circular Supply Chain adoption (without Industry 4.0)
Can any one suggest how to proceed.
Relevant answer
Answer
How to Proceed:
  1. Literature Review on Separate Topics: Since integrated articles are scarce, begin by reviewing articles on Industry 4.0 risks and CSC risks separately. This will give you a foundational understanding and allow you to hypothesize integrated risks.
  2. Case Studies: Look for businesses that are at the forefront of integrating Industry 4.0 and CSC. Their real-world experiences can be invaluable, even if not yet documented in academic literature.
  3. Primary Research: Given the gap in the literature, you have an opportunity to contribute original research. Consider surveys, interviews, or focus groups with industry professionals to gather insights on integrated risks.
  4. Collaborate: Given the interdisciplinary nature of the topic, consider collaborating with experts in Industry 4.0, supply chain management, and sustainability. Their combined expertise can be invaluable.
  5. Publish Preliminary Findings: As you gather insights, consider publishing your preliminary findings, even if they're exploratory. This can invite feedback and collaboration from the wider academic and industry community.
  6. Stay Updated: This is an evolving field. Regularly check academic databases, industry reports, and relevant conferences or webinars to stay updated on emerging research.
The intersection of Industry 4.0 and the Circular Supply Chain is rich with potential for academic inquiry. Your endeavor can make a valuable contribution to understanding the challenges and risks in this integrated domain.

SCI is a part of the Web of Science database, and it focuses on high-impact scientific journals in various fields. Web of Science is a broader database that includes multiple citation indexes. Scopus is an Elsevier product , It includes a broader range of journals compared to SCI. If your research spans multiple disciplines or includes social sciences and humanities, Web of Science's broader coverage might be more suitable.Ultimately, the "best" choice depends on your research goals.

Could you share the information on Scopus indexed management Journals without any APC?
Relevant answer
Answer
Inderscience.com has a bunch of Scopus-indexed journals with no APC. That said, they are quite slow-moving.

As is well known, Scopus and WoS, unlike many other bibliographic databases, offer very precise filtering functions. It may happen that a peer-reviewer asks to broaden the search to prove that there are no "relevant" publications in other databases. But, if you are researching a familiar field, you know that the interested research community is already structured around the most relevant publications (in terms of citations). Refining results from other databases such as ERIC, CiteSeerX, IEEE explore etc. can be very time consuming. How do you justify the final decision for a particular database over others?
Relevant answer
Answer
In that case, the only answer I can think of is subjective: You need to consider what collection of sources would be convincing to your audience. In my case I work with general rather than discipline-specific questions, so I either use WoS alone, or I combine WoS with Scopus and then eliminate duplicates.

Dear friends and colleagues
Hello
I need guidance on choosing the right journal for my work.
1- Although some journals are classified as Q2 in Scopus and have a reputable publisher such as Springer, they are not indexed in the Web of Science and do not have an impact factor. What do you think about these types of journals?
2- As you know, Scopus and Web of Science have classified journals according to Q, which is different in many cases. For example, a journal may be classified as Q1 in Scopus, but the same journal is classified as Q2 in Web of Science. Which Q is the criterion? Universities and research institutes consider researchers' research scores according to which Q?
I am waiting for your valuable answers.
Thank you so much.
Yours sincerely,
Kiumars Khani Aminjan

Because it covers more journals and records than Web of Science, Scopus delivers citation data from a broader range of sources. When selecting a journal, you must first recognize the database upon which your university depends. You need to search for up-to-date journals listed in your discipline in the selected database and select the one that is most relevant to you.

A very frequent question about the merger of two datasets (e.g. Scopus and Web of Science) is asked by those interested in the bibliometric studies. Wherein, the common logic behind doing so is the intention of scholars to have a broader and better coverage of studies published in any specific area of study.
A number of studies/scholars have proposed ways in which two datasets can be merged. Though it is possible to merge two datasets from different databases, a basic question that is rarely addressed is:
Should we merge two datasets from different databases for a bibliometric study?
The simple conclusion based on the very nature of these databases is: NO.
Why?
Because:
1. Differences in the coverage: Scopus have wider coverage than WOS. But WOS provides more in-depth insights.
2. Both use different matrices to measure the published literatures impact.
3. Citation scores of both Scopus and WOS for the same publications are different because of the differences in coverage.
4. The time range of the two databases in terms of two databases coverage is also different.
So, When merging two datasets, how would it be decided which data/duplicate to exclude for a specific publication that is in both databases?
What do you think? Looking forward to some interesting opinions and views.

Chizoba Kingsley Ugokwe Thank you very much for your interesting comment. Indeed differences in the citation scores for same publication in both databases is an important issue that cannot be ignored. Without a solid justification and rationale for choosing one over the other might result in drawing unreliable and non-valid conclusions.

I am looking for Scopus indexed journals with a fast publication track of no more than 5 weeks! My article is on emotions and second language acquisition! could you recommend anything?
Relevant answer
Answer
I may recommend the Creative Education journal.
This is a good Open Access journal in which I had a major article published recently:

Note that there are publication fees to be paid to cover typesetting and other fees, given that authors retain their copyright and that the articles are not sold by the journal and remain in free access to be read on the Internet.

A journal European Chemical Bulletin was added in the scopus source list in the month till June 2023. In the month July 2023 it is out from scopus list. But it will not be considered in the scopus from December 2022, Volume 11, Issue 12, Pages 22-38. How much it is justified the validity of scopus. And what about those papers that were published between January to June 2023 (these published papers bydefault will out from the scopus). Due to this glitch and wrong policy of the scopus, one thesis has not been accepted. Why the scopus has not taking seriously to update the data every month or every day. And if any journal excluding from the souce then it should be excluded from the current month, not from previous 6-7 months. I think scopus papers should not be in the creteria of thesis submission. What do you think about this a big issue.

Dear Dr PankajPandey,
As to my knowledge and experience that I am recording my answer to this question here.
It could be one of the measurements to identify the status of the Scopus Indexed Journals.
Scopus evaluation will be done for every year. The Journal will publish as per the name Scopus in the one year duration.
The Scopus measurements including the Almetrics of citation score, Impact Factor, how many of the researchers have cited within a month, downloaded and shared the published articles in many number of ways to increase the ultimate score of the Journals will be considered for the Scopus Indexed.
The main import things is that the quality, cite score, Impact factor etc will help to determine the Scopus score of the particular Journal.
Some Journals have failed these measurements within the one year that is why the Scopus status was removed at once.
The Status of the Scopus Indexed Journals will be ascertained by the valid Almetrics measurements including the Journal popularity among the Academic and Research communities forever.
Hope many expertise and professionals can add some more answers to strengthen this question as well.

Senapathy

Answer
If you're looking to find impact factors for journals that are not indexed in Scopus or other major indexing databases like Web of Science, you might have to rely on alternative methods and sources. Impact factors are typically calculated and published by organizations such as Clarivate Analytics (for the Web of Science) and are not universally available in all journals. You can take to try to estimate the impact factor of a journal that is not indexed in Scopus: Google Scholar metrics, Citation analysis, journal ranking websites, Expert opinion, Publisher information, etc. To know the details visit the websites.
