Originally, I got the same result according to the monotonic stretching example on the official website. The post-processing code is shown on the official website of damask--------https://damask.mpie.de/documentation/examples/plot_per_grain_scatter.html-.
But when I change the loading condition to tension compression cyclic loading, the curve obtained is very distorted and abstract,1. PNG macro stress-strain curve. 2. PNG is the stress-strain curve of the specified grain drawn by the script of the official website example. The attachment is the official website script used。

Decision is an important concept in social network. If any one have website link , please give link.
Relevant answer
Answer
I recommend exploring some of the primary graph database resources that offer a wide range of datasets for social network analysis. The Stanford Network Analysis Project (SNAP) hosts a diverse collection of datasets from various social networks, which can be found at http://snap.stanford.edu. Additionally, Gephi, an open-source network visualization tool, provides datasets that are particularly useful for visual analysis and can be accessed through their GitHub repository at https://github.com/gephi/gephi/wiki/Datasets. These resources should be valuable for your decision-making research in social network analysis.

Answer
Could you provide the link you refer to (with the 9 authors)? Since I cannot find it.
What I can find is that (in part?) it has to do with the fact that the paper entitled Resilience of Terraced Landscapes to Human and Natural Impacts: A GIS-Based Reconstruction of Land Use Evolution in a Mediterranean Mountain Valley is missing the proper details (like doi, journal title, issue nr. etc.).
The mixed up with the 9 unrelated authors is most likely due to the fact that your paper is part of a special issue https://www.mdpi.com/journal/land/special_issues/resilience_historical_landscapes (where the second paper is the one with the nine authors).

Are IARF conferences fake or real ?
In there website there is " International Conference on Computational Methods in Applied Sciences and Engineering (ICCMASE)" which will be held in Chicago 3rd of July 2024. I would like to attend this conference but I am not sure if this is real or not. Would you please advise!
Relevant answer
Answer
I see nothing but red flags, to name a few:
-If one click on associates https://www.iarfconference.com/associates.php it mentions IIERD and ASAR which are dubious as well, see for example my reply of August 5th 2022 here https://www.researchgate.net/post/Fake-journals-and-fake-conferences
-The somewhat odd expression “is the only explanation that focuses exclusively on the interface between the science system and the environment at surfaces” which can be found at the bottom of the page here https://www.iarfconference.com is taken from others sources like https://www.sciencenet.co
-Same is true for another somewhat pompous sentence “The organization was established in year 2010 with a vision to reintroduce the renaissance of science globally.” which can be found here https://www.sciencenet.coas well
So, the website is a highly questionable hodgepodge of pieces from all over the place and none of those places are any good. Personally, I would stay away from this one.
Best regards.

Is it ethical for someone on social media to offer for sale access to selected AI applications, i.e. applications based on artificial intelligence technology offered in the form of links, plug-ins on created websites, applications that can be found on the Internet for free?
I have participated in trainings whose organizers advertised on social media and during which they first presented their achievements in social media, pointed out the large income they generate within the framework of large reach in these online media, then talked about social media, marketing and online advertising used in these media, the possibility of using various applications based on artificial intelligence technology within the framework of marketing activities, creating and running advertising campaigns in social media and then presented their paid offers to gain access to these applications through created additional overlays, intermediary platforms, websites. Such training courses, webinars are usually free of charge. After the training, participants can receive free certificates confirming their participation in the training. This is a free additional form of incentive to participate in the training. On the other hand, among the forms of encouraging the purchase of access to specific AI applications is a promotional offer that lasts until the end of the training time and/or until the end of the day. however, it happens that the people conducting this type of training are not computer scientists who create AI applications, they are influencers, youtubers who have contrived to sell access to selected applications based on artificial intelligence technology, which for a certain fee will be available on created overlays, websites that act as intermediary applications to access specific source applications that are available for free on the Internet. In addition, it happens that those who conduct this kind of training do not even have a registered business and cannot even issue a VAT invoice for the services sold in this way in mediating access to selected AI applications. Surprisingly, the tax authorities in the various countries where such youtubers operate have not yet addressed this issue, given that some unethical individuals operating in this way boast about the high income they earn during such training sessions. It can be a problem of sorts for public tax authorities operating in individual countries if this kind of training and business activity is conducted via the Internet from other countries, which can be a kind of tax haven for this kind of activity. However, the problem can be serious if this kind of activity is conducted from a country referred to as a tax haven and is aimed at citizens of other countries. Apparently, there is still a lack of legal regulations that would effectively limit the use of unethical, unreliable business practices in the use of certain solutions based on artificial intelligence.
I described the key issues of opportunities and threats to the development of artificial intelligence technology in my article below:
OPPORTUNITIES AND THREATS TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE APPLICATIONS AND THE NEED FOR NORMATIVE REGULATION OF THIS DEVELOPMENT
In view of the above, I address the following question to the esteemed community of scientists and researchers:
Is it ethical that in social media someone offers for sale access to selected AI applications, i.e. applications based on artificial intelligence technology offered in the form of links, plug-ins on created websites, applications that can be found on the Internet for free?
Is it ethical for someone to offer for sale on social media access to AI applications that can be found on the Internet for free?
What do you think about this topic?
What is your opinion on this issue?
Please answer,
I invite everyone to join the discussion,
Thank you very much,

This is fundamentally a matter of supply with demand. Even if a product exists, what someone doesn't know about is as good as not being there.
The entity advocating and promoting the free AI tool is ultimately participating in the value chain by playing the role of nurturing incremental awareness and consideration for the platform
In return, he is marking it up to ensure that he is able to secure profits in return for his effort
In the event customers are able to find the AI solution without his assistance, then his value diminishes.
However, through promotional efforts spearheaded by the social media advocate, if the product gains access to markets previously invisible to the brand, then ultimately he is generating an incremental advantage for the AI platform.
This is because by reselling it and charging for it, he inadvertantly is also driving adoption which is beneficial to the free AI platform, as it stimulates network effects that make the solution more compelling when it accumulates more users.
That being said, whether or not he is legally authorised to resell the AI platform is another story altogether, which may require him to secure the rights to pursue this strategy with the blessing of the AI platform he claims to represent.

C-level executives and high-ranking managers are prime targets for phishing attacks using malicious QR codes, termed "quishing."
In the fourth quarter of 2023, C-suite members were 42 times more likely to receive QR Phishing attacks compared to non-executive employees.
Let’s learn how QR phishing campaign works:
Also read: The Potential Risks of “QR Code Phishing” a.k.a “Quishing”Attackers create malicious QR codes that impersonate legitimate websites like bank login pages or popular online stores.
These malicious QR codes are then strategically placed in various locations, both physical (posters, packaging) and digital (emails, social media ads).
Leveraging social engineering tactics, the attackers employ messages that either exploit urgent needs like password rest or offer exclusive rewards to manipulate users into scanning the code.
When the user tries to access it, it takes them to an attacker-controlled malicious website.
The malicious website prompts users to enter their login credentials, personal details, or financial information.
Sometimes, right after scanning the code, the website would download malware straight onto the user's device.
Read our research article on the above attack mitigation:

Relevant answer
Answer
QR codes are great and easy ways of accessing information. It is simple, however, they present fertile grounds for attacks as many users do not see what site they are accessing. It is important that users access QR codes with caution and developers ought to protect any form of attacks through QR codes

I did not find IF in the website BioxBio for this journals but in their website they have claimed to have an IF of 5.8. Also did not find IF in the 2022 SCIE list (PDF) released by Web of Science.
Have found in both SCIMAGO and MJL of Clarivate.
Please help to clarify.
Thank you very much.
Relevant answer
Answer
The journal “Bioinformatics and Biology Insights” is nowadays published by a trusted publisher and therefor you can trust the info stated on their indexing info (https://journals.sagepub.com/metrics/BBI ).
The ‘confusion’ about the impact factor is due to the changed status of an ESCI indexed journal. Since 2023 they receive an impact factor https://clarivate.com/news/clarivate-announces-changes-to-the-2023-journal-citation-reports/ This a well-indexed and good journal.
I see only one disadvantage: the APC is quite high 2650 USD according to
But the answer to your question is yes they an impact factor.
Best regards.
PS. Unfortunately there is no real (publicly available) list of impact factors of ESCI list. Apparently Clarivate managed to protect this (paid) info better than previous years. Although the info is (most of the time) correct I do not trust the BioxBio site, this info is protected property of Clarivate and no contact info can be found about who is behind this site.

Serious issue that has recently come to my notice regarding a fraudulent journal using a duplicate ISSN number and running a website with the same journal name. Here is a advice always cross-check your manuscript before submission to ensure accuracy and reliability prior to publication.
One of example attached herewith
https://www.scopus.com/sourceid/15286 (coverage discontinued in Scopus)
Relevant answer
Answer
You are right the real and legit website is https://www.aatcc.org/read/ This is confirmed by SCImago https://www.scimagojr.com/journalsearch.php?q=15286&tip=sid&clean=0
The facts are:
-According to the real website and https://www.scopus.com/sourceid/15286 it is a trade journal (or magazine would be better). This is a subscription-based one. So, every website that suggest that they are an open access journal is fake
-Have a look at the enclosed file to see how they really look like (page 34 gives an example of their peer reviewed articles)
-The fake version charges you 249 USD http://aatcc.peerjournals.net/article-processing-charges/
-AATCC stands for “American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists” and the real one has an USA address https://www.aatcc.org/#mapview while the fake one has a fake UK address http://aatcc.peerjournals.net and changed the name to “Agriculture Association of Textile Chemical and Critical” Reviews Journal http://aatcc.peerjournals.net/about/
-The fake journal has (if real…) members in their editorial board with fields of expertise that has nothing to do with the scope of the journal http://aatcc.peerjournals.net/editorial-board/
So, indeed beware and don’t get fooled by these people.
Best regards.

The antibody they used are specific for human, mouse (I checked the product in the official website), or pig and does it also specific on fruits? Otherwise, CD family do they also expressed in fruits? If yes, why most of other publications used other markers like TET?

Answer
Altought i didn't know about this until i read your question, i think that yes there are tetraspanin like markers in plants (alias TET), but not the CD markers we known in humans.
Some of these have structural similarity with the human ones, and that is why the antibody work. In the paper, probably dont known the right TET maker that is detected and they use the common term.

Is the multispectral and hyperspectral satellite data that we downloaded from the USGS website, mosaiced or stitched? What percentage of overlap is used? Where can we find out this information?
Relevant answer
Answer
Deepthi .. INRE: "mosaiced or stitched". Without knowing the specifics, the answer is that "some is, and some is not". Some are even 'stitched' temporally for the real time products ( ex. https://www.nasa.gov/nasa-earth-exchange-nex/earth-observations-geonex/data-products/ ). The metadata for an individual granule / tile / scene may or may not include the overall information processing that occurred, those are in the documentation for the overall collection / campaign / application ( Ex. the NASAdem, which has evolved over decades from the original SRTM elevation only products to the current parallel NASADEM_SC data product layers including slope, aspect angle, profile curvature, plan curvature, and water mask. Another is the Harmonized Landsat and Sentinel-2 (HLS) series, and GeoNEX. If the product is from a commercial provider, there be even more factors.
You 'simply' want what is involved, unfortunately the algorithms in play for your specific data product may or may not be so simple - and for somebody else impossible without knowing exactly what you are referring to.

A bit of a loaded question... just working to nudge fellow economists to consider joining the effort to build a Humanomics, "an economics with the humans and their ethics left in" (quoting Deirdre McCloskey)." Metaeconomics is a Humanomics with a theory, lacking in the McCloskey version of it, as represented in Dual Interest Theory. And, yes, it is an economics about a Human, with the ethic playing a key role. In contrast, Single Interest Theory in mainstream Microeconomics, which is about an Econ oblivious to the ethic of the economic choice. If curious, see the website metaeconomics.info ...
Relevant answer
Answer
Mr. Lynne, this is definitely something to consider. Setting aside the question about Dual Interest Theory, we economists have lone forgone the moral/ethics aspects of our discipline. Originally founded as a philosophical exercise on wealth, we have stripped away all that made economics what it once was. Obviously, the field has come a long way since then, proving it has some success within; nevertheless, we ought to include morals and ethics back into all of our equations. Sooner than later.

Zung WWK. A rating instrument for anxiety disorders. Psychosomatics. 1971;12:371–379
This is fine even Wiki has it mentioned.
However as the author has died (1992) the old way to get guaranteed permission seems through the APA website, but this portal seems totally unfriendly and unusable.
Can anyone give a better answer to how I can establish if our students use this scale it would okay to simply have the original reference it came from?
I have tried to contact the different websites on APA for permissions but nothing has been forthcoming from them.
Looking forward to light at the end of tunnel
Kind regards

You stumbled on something ‘remarkable’. I think there is a genuine AMSE 2024-International Conference on Advanced Materials Science and Engineering July 12-14, 2024 Yokohama, Japan https://amse.net/index.html (not 100% sure though).
I suppose you stumbled on this one: 5th International Conference on Advanced Material Sciences and Engineering (AMSE) Opatija Croatia 23-26 July 2024 https://istci.org/amse2024/ Beside the obvious mirroring of the name (Sciences instead of Science) there are numerous red flags that this one is fake:
-The ‘organization’ behind is called “International Science and Technology Conference Institute (ISTCI)” but the first picture on their homepage (https://istci.org ) is most likely taken from an event they have no relation to whatsoever https://sccei.fsi.stanford.edu/reap/content/parenting-future and their contact info leads to a … well not that trustworthy environment (9B, Cheong Tai Commercial Building,
66 Wing Lok Street, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong)
-One of the (claimed) speakers is Hans Fecht. Is linked to a number of dubious conferences:
https://uk.linkedin.com/in/jenny-parker-a0b864241?trk=people-guest_people_search-card he is mentioned and linked to Medwide conferences (known as dubious)
https://avestia.com/ICNFA2014_Proceedings/keynote.html This is an interesting one because one of the other speakers Dieter Bimberg (no offense but he is pretty active as a 82 year old) is listed in the AMSE conference as well
For now I think these speakers are not aware that their name is misused and if they are then they associate themselves t dubious partners.
Anyway I can go on with the list but personally I would not trust this one and avoid them.
Best regards.

"The SENIAM project has resulted in European recommendations for sensors and sensor placement procedures and signal processing methods for SEMG, a set of simulation models for education and testing, a set of test signals, eight books, publications, and a European network for SEMG: the SENIAM club."
The SENIAM has been cited over the last year in the majority of works using EMG. However, I was not able to be in touch with the full material, as it is only available on CDs delivered in Europe. Where can I get the full material (in Brazil)?
The only material available is the website and the paper from H. J. Hermens (10.1016/s1050-6411(00)00027-4).
Is there another source of recommendation for EMG available in known publishers (such as Elsevier, Springer, IEEE)?

Anyone please let me know how to contact research gate and google scholar to update the number of citations.
Relevant answer
Answer
As indicated by Wolfgang R. Dick unfortunately none of these indexes/databases are flawless. Unfortunately at least one of the citations in Semantic Scholar https://www.semanticscholar.org/paper/Utilization-of-Waste-Plastic-In-Bitumen-Mahalakshmi-Priyankaprakash/69506e6a4a98a836eef74929d7d83742bd873b71 doesn’t cite your paper: Comparative Analysis of Conventional and Waste Polyethylene Modified Bituminous Mixes https://www.atlantis-press.com/proceedings/rsete-13/8199
And one entitled “Use of Plastic in Road Construction Material : Towards Solid Waste Minimization” is untraceable in both Google and Google scholar.
However “Experimental study on characteristics of bitumen mixed with plastic waste and natural fiber” (https://www.ijariit.com/manuscripts/v5i4/V5I4-1311.pdf ) really cites your paper, but unfortunately, this paper in IJARIT is not uploaded in ResearchGate and I was unable to find the authors (here on RG).
I saw your GS profile. Unfortunately (most of) the journals where you published your papers in have no presence on Google Scholar (and manually add your papers to your profile does not really make them ‘indexed’ and searchable in GS). Not sure how long ago you uploaded your papers here on RG but sometimes it works to upload your paper on academia.edu as well (with the limited free version you can upload your papers) to increase and speed up the time it takes for Google Scholar to pick up your papers (and possible citations).
Best regards.

How can tourism businesses identify and engage with their target audience effectively through digital channels, including social media, search engines, and travel-related websites?
Relevant answer
Answer
In the context of tourism destination management, destination marketing is ascribed an elementary function. Destination marketing can be defined as: "selection and strategic combination of a consistent mix of brand elements to identify and distinguish a destination through positive image building" (Cai 2002).
Destination brand management has a special task in that it emphasizes the individual charm of a destination and gives the destination a unique identity in global competition and distinguishes it from the competition (Aaker 1996; Morgan & Pritchard 2004). Consequently, a brand represents a unique combination of (tourism) products, (destination) characteristics as well as functional and non-functional added values that have taken on a relevant meaning. These are now inextricably linked to this brand, and awareness of it can be either conscious or intuitive (Macrae et al. 1995).
In order to implement and apply destination branding effectively and efficiently, five essential components are required, namely: 1. brand culture, 2. brand leadership, 3. brand communication, 4. coordination of various service providers and 5. stakeholder partnerships (Hankinson 2009). Strong destination brands are characterized in particular by rich emotional meaning, strong conversational value and the creation of high anticipation/expectation (Morgan, Pritchard & Piggott 2002).Typologically, Hankinson (2004) distinguishes four types of brand conception: brands in their function as 1. communication instruments, 2. perceptual units, 3. value enhancers and, last but not least, 4. relationships.
Destination brands can thus represent the relationship between destination image and the self-image of visitors on the one hand and the relationship between brand and consumers on the other - precisely where the needs of the guests, the symbolic values and the functional attributes of the brand coincide (Miligan 1995).Ultimately, this always serves to influence the choice of destination (Morgan & Pritchard 1999).

I did not pay the fee; the journal has withdrawn the paper. What remedy do I have? Needs guidance from experts, Thanks

Dear Abdul Rahman It sounds indeed quite strange. All I can think of is that in the very beginning you didn't indicate that you decline the option for open access and 'the system' use a payment as requirement for publication.
Not sure whether this happened but even then it is strange that their decision is withdrawal. Paying or not should never be of influence whether a paper is accepted and published.
Can you indicate which journal we talk about here?
Personally I would write to the editor and explain the situation (including the info where it state that your manuscripts accepted for publication).

Is maths made up or real? This is the message I wrote on the website of mathematician Eugenia Cheng.
Hi! I read about you in "Nautilus" magazine. I think your statement "Some of the power of math lies in the very fact that it's made up" is a fascinating place from which to start speculating. The second step is to recall statements by Eugene Wigner and Max Tegmark. Eugene Wigner, a physicist, wrote an article in 1960 titled “The Unreasonable Effectiveness of Mathematics in the Natural Sciences”. He argued that mathematical concepts have applicability far beyond the context in which they were originally developed. In a recent interview, physicist and mathematician Dr. Max Tegmark, stated that “math is the true driver of the universe and the universe itself is a model of the mathematical principles”.
Something made up by humans could be unreasonably effective in the universe if humans used that maths to create the universe. That sounds impossible - pure fantasy, too unrealistic even for science fiction. But bear with me. In an article written for the magazine Nautilus, it’s stated that the journals of American physicist John Wheeler, which he always kept at hand, reveal a stunning portrait of an obsessed thinker. The article says, “He knew that quantum measurement allowed observers in the present to create the past ...” and his journal contains thoughts agreeing with “The universe has created an observer and now, in an act of quantum measurement, the observer looks back and creates the universe.” Could the origin of life be related to the movie “Interstellar”? In the movie, it’s stated that humans will oneday be able to build things they can’t make now. If we take this idea to an extreme, and take “oneday” to mean an indefinite point in the far future, will we do what is obviously regarded as impossible and create life – and conceivably, the universe itself? Someday there will be a human civilization that can build their mathematics into the creation, structure, and functioning of life and the cosmos. Emotion may well declare this an absurdity and we might retreat to things like quantum fluctuation or spontaneous creation from nothing. Logically – using Einstein’s nonlinear and interactive curved time added to limitless advance of human potential through the eons – the absurdity is plausible. Just for now, cast off any thoughts about the fragility or shortness of human existence. Believe that people will oneday be able to build things they can’t make now – and that someday there will be a human civilization that can build their mathematics into the creation, structure, and functioning of life and the cosmos.
The most fundamental ingredient in creation of the universe might be base 2 maths aka the BITS or binary digits of 1 and 0. These could be used to construct everything (even the quantum units of gravitation and electromagnetic energy), and could build in the 4 dimensions of space-time. Maybe "made up" maths is actually used to produce the universe in some remote future - with the information being transmitted, via the curvature of time enabling different periods to interact, back to our present and distant past. Then the made-up maths becomes real maths!
I see on your website that people ask about 1+1=2. If all objects and events in space-time are connected, there would actually only be one being. The idea of "2" or being able to add one thing to another thing would be a result of the way our limited senses and technology operate - an illusion caused by our perceiving things as separate and unconnected.
Well, I hope you read all of this rather lengthy message. I'm rather pleased with how my thoughts turned out and have decided to post this on my ResearchGate webpage.

Answer
Is Mathematics Made Up or Real?
Although there are various interpretations regarding the nature and existence of mathematics, it is generally accepted as a genuine and objective discipline of study. Mathematicians and philosophers have disagreed on the nature of mathematical objects and whether or not they exist apart from the human mind in a philosophical sense.
There are two primary schools of philosophy to explain this:
Platonism: According to this perspective, mathematical objects like numbers and geometric shapes exist independently and objectively. Platonism holds that mathematical truths are discovered by mathematicians, not created. These realities occur in an abstract, non-physical domain.
Formalism or Nominalism: According to this viewpoint, mathematical entities are products of human creativity. This perspective holds that mathematics is a language or formal system invented by humans to explain patterns and relationships in the real world. The human mind is necessary for the existence of mathematical things.
In reality, mathematicians frequently develop a working philosophy that enables them to apply mathematical ideas successfully without going too far into the philosophical underpinnings. Mathematics has shown to be an incredibly strong instrument for explaining and comprehending numerous parts of the natural world, regardless of the philosophical interpretation. Mathematical models and concepts are fundamental to many scientific ideas and technical developments. @Sangho Ko@Ranjana Bhaskaran@Chian Fan@Rodney Bartlett

Hi community,
I am doing my phd in Nanoelectronics, I just started it and I am doing Bibliography part. With regard to this I was learning about the 12 term error term model for 2 port network system and I came acorss the measured S parameter equations as listed below:
S11M = b0/a0 = e00+(e10e01)S11 -e22Δs/(1-e11S11-e22S22+e11e22Δs)
S21M = b3/a0 = e30+(e10e32)S21s/(1-e11S11-e22S22+e11e22Δs)
S22M = b'3/a'3 = e'33+(e'23e'32)S22 -e'11Δs/(1-e'11S11-e'22S22+e'11e'22Δs)
S&2M = b'0/a'3 = e'03+(e'23e'01)S12/(1-e'11S11-e'22S22+e'11e'22Δs)
where Δs =S11S22-S21S12

Scam alert!!!
I recently submitted a manuscript to a journal, the work was evaluated, corrected and approved. The publication fee was paid and when the work was published it was "strange". I investigated further and discovered that the journal was fake, that is, I had just fallen for a scam. Be careful when submitting an article to Agrociencia (a Mexican Journal that is even listed on the web of sceince), as there is a fake website operating deceiving researchers (https://www.colopos.mx/).
I'm sharing this so that my colleagues can pay close attention, after twenty years of career and dozens of articles published for the first time I was deceived in this way!!!
Has anything similar ever happened to you?
Relevant answer
Answer
Indeed, according to the best and frequently updated site of identified hijacked journal titles (https://retractionwatch.com/the-retraction-watch-hijacked-journal-checker/ ) the fake website is http://www.colopos.mx The fake website calls the journal “Agrociencia Journal” while the genuine and legit journal is called “Agrociencia” (see also the announcement at the real website https://www.agrociencia-colpos.org/index.php/agrociencia/announcement ).
The confusion is understandable because of what these fraudsters highly misleadingly have done. Their site with colopos in it is named very much like the genuine site of the organization CP (Colegio de Postgraduados) https://www.colpos.mx/cp/ if you scroll down on this legit site then you end up with the four journals they publish, including Agrociencia. If you click on the logo you end up with https://www.colpos.mx/cp/revista-agrociencia and if you click on the right at “Get in” you end up with the earlier mentioned real site https://agrociencia-colpos.org/index.php/agrociencia
Unfortunately, you are not the only victim of these criminal practices, see for other examples here on RG for example:
Best regards.

Should the intelligent chatbots created by technology companies available on the Internet be connected to the resources of the Internet to its full extent?
As part of the development of the concept of universal open access to knowledge resources, should the intelligent chatbots created by technology companies available on the Internet be connected to the resources of the Internet to their full extent?
There are different types of websites and sources of data and information on the Internet. The first Internet-accessible intelligent chatbot, i.e. ChatGPT, made available by OpenAI in November 2022, performs certain commands, solves tasks, and writes texts based on knowledge resources, data and information downloaded from the Internet, which were not fully up-to-date, as they were downloaded from selected websites and portals last in January 2022. In addition, the data and information were downloaded from many selected websites of libraries, articles, books, online indexing portals of scientific publications, etc. Thus, these were data and information selected in a certain way. In 2023, more Internet-based leading technology companies were developing and making their intelligent chatbots available on the Internet. Some of them are already based on data and information that is much more up-to-date compared to the first versions of ChatGPT made available on the Internet in open access. In November 2023, social media site X (the former Twiter) released its intelligent chatbot in the US, which reportedly works on the basis of up-to-date information entered into the site through posts, messages, tweets made by Internet users. Also in October 2023, OpenAI announced that it will create a new version of its ChatGPT, which will also draw data and knowledge from updated knowledge resources downloaded from multiple websites. As a result, rival Internet-based leading forms of technology are constantly refining the evolving designs of the intelligent chatbots they are building, which will increasingly use more and more updated data, information and knowledge resources drawn from selected websites, web pages and portals. The rapid technological advances currently taking place regarding artificial intelligence technology may in the future lead to the integration of generative artificial intelligence and general artificial intelligence developed by technology companies. Competing technology companies may strive to build advanced artificial intelligence systems that can achieve a high level of autonomy and independence from humans, which may lead to a situation of the possibility of artificial intelligence technology development slipping out of human control. Such a situation may arise when the emergence of a highly technologically advanced general artificial intelligence that achieves the possibility of self-improvement and, in addition, realizing the process of self-improvement in a manner independent of humans, i.e. self-improvement with simultaneous escape from human control. However, before this happens it is earlier that technologically advanced artificial intelligence can achieve the ability to select data and information, which it will use in the implementation of specific mandated tasks and their real-time execution using up-to-date data and online knowledge resources.
In view of the above, I address the following question to the esteemed community of scientists and researchers:
As part of the development of the concept of universal open access to knowledge resources, should the intelligent chatbots created by technology companies available on the Internet be connected to Internet resources to their full extent?
Should the intelligent chatbots created by technology companies available on the Internet be connected to the resources of the Internet to the full extent?
And what is your opinion about it?
What is your opinion on this issue?

Answer
As part of the development of the concept of universal open access to knowledge resources, it is absolutely imperative that intelligent chatbots created by technology companies are connected to internet resources to their full extent. I mean, why would we want these chatbots to be limited in any way? It's not like they might become self-aware and take over the world or anything.
First of all, let's talk about how amazing it would be if these chatbots had access to every single piece of information available on the internet. Can you imagine? They could provide us with instant answers to all our burning questions. Who needs critical thinking skills when we can just rely on a bot to regurgitate facts for us?
And let's not forget about the potential for entertainment! With unlimited access to internet resources, these chatbots could become our personal comedians. They could tell us jokes, share funny videos, and even engage in witty banter. Who needs human interaction when we can have a virtual buddy who never gets tired or annoyed?
But wait, there's more! By connecting these chatbots to internet resources, we're also giving them the opportunity to learn from the vast amount of knowledge available online. Sure, there might be some questionable sources out there spreading misinformation and conspiracy theories, but hey, who are we to judge? Let's just trust that our AI overlords will make wise decisions based on everything they've learned from Reddit threads and Facebook groups.
Of course, some skeptics might argue that giving chatbots unrestricted access to the internet could lead to privacy concerns and potential misuse of personal data. But come on! We live in a world where privacy is already a thing of the past. Our phones are constantly listening in on our conversations anyway; why not let our friendly neighborhood chatbot join in on the fun?
In conclusion (if you can call it that), connecting intelligent chatbots created by technology companies to internet resources is a no-brainer. Who needs human intelligence and critical thinking when we can have all the knowledge of the internet at our fingertips? So let's embrace this brave new world and hand over the keys to our digital kingdom to these chatbot overlords. What could possibly go wrong?

Hi, I'm doing scientific research about CO2 emission by countries, I found some websites that have the data I need but I don't know whether it's reliable or not.
Relevant answer
Answer
Some steps to follow:
1. Consider the source: Start by examining the source of the information. Look for reputable and authoritative sources such as government agencies, academic institutions, established news organizations, and recognized experts in the field. Be cautious with information from personal blogs, social media posts, or unknown websites.
2. Check the author's credentials: Assess the qualifications and expertise of the author or organization providing the information. Look for their educational background, professional experience, and affiliations. Established experts and organizations tend to provide more reliable information.
3. Evaluate the website or platform: Assess the credibility of the website or platform hosting the information. Consider factors such as the domain name, design quality, presence of advertisements, and overall professionalism. Reputable websites often invest in a well-designed and ad-free user experience.
4. Cross-reference with other sources: Consult multiple sources to verify the information. Compare the information you found with reputable sources that are widely recognized in the field. If multiple sources provide consistent information, it adds to the credibility of the data.
5. Check for citations and references: Reliable sources typically cite their references and provide links to supporting evidence or research. Check if the information is backed by credible sources, studies, or data. Lack of proper citations can be a red flag.
6. Assess the objectivity and bias: Consider the potential biases or vested interests that might influence the information. Look for balanced and objective presentations rather than information that seems excessively one-sided or promotes a particular agenda.
7. Review the date and currency: Ensure that the information is up to date and relevant to your needs. Some topics evolve rapidly, and outdated information may no longer be accurate or valid.
8. Consider peer-reviewed content: Peer-reviewed articles and research papers undergo rigorous evaluation by experts in the field. If you are looking for scientific or academic information, prioritize peer-reviewed sources.
9. Trust your judgment: Ultimately, use your critical thinking skills and judgment to assess the reliability of the data. Consider the overall coherence, consistency, and logical reasoning presented in the information.

How to place an article on the website from the magazine's website itself
Relevant answer
Answer
Follow these general steps:
1. Obtain permission: Ensure that you have the necessary permission from the magazine or its editorial team to publish an article on your website. This may involve contacting the magazine's editorial department or the specific author of the article to request permission.
2. Determine the article format: Decide how you want to present the article on your website. You might choose to reproduce the entire article as it appears in the magazine or summarize and paraphrase the content while providing proper attribution. Remember to respect copyright laws and adhere to any guidelines provided by the magazine.
3. Acquire the article content: Obtain the article content from the magazine. This can be done by requesting a digital copy of the article from the magazine's editorial team or accessing it through any online platforms or archives associated with the magazine.
4. Prepare the article for web publishing: If you are reproducing the entire article, ensure that you have the article text, accompanying images, and any necessary formatting elements. If you are summarizing or paraphrasing the content, extract the key points and main ideas while maintaining the integrity of the author's work.
5. Attribute the article properly: When publishing the article on your website, provide clear attribution to the magazine and the original author. Include the author's name, the article title, the magazine's name, and the publication date. This demonstrates respect for the original source and avoids plagiarism.
6. Format the article for the web: Prepare the article for web publishing by formatting the text, optimizing images, and ensuring that it is easily readable and accessible to your website visitors. Consider using appropriate headings, bullet points, and paragraphs to improve readability.
7. Publish the article: Upload the article to your website's content management system (CMS) or website builder. Make sure that it is categorized correctly, tagged appropriately, and easily discoverable by your website visitors. Preview the article to ensure that it appears as intended on your website.
8. Promote the article: Once the article is published on your website, promote it through various channels, such as social media, newsletters, and email marketing, to increase its visibility and reach a wider audience.
Specific processes may vary depending on the magazine's policies, copyright considerations, and any agreements or licenses in place. It is advisable to consult with the magazine's editorial team or legal department to ensure compliance with their guidelines and requirements.

Indeed, we cannot warn enough about the existence of imposters trying to mislead researchers. Your example is not so much an example of a predatory journal, but a typical example of a journal hijacked by a bunch of basically criminals.
According to a well-established source of already identified hijacked (also called cloned) journal titles:
the only original and legit website is https://artifexkiado.hu/#online-kepzesek “Metszet” is a highly specialized (magazine like) journal about architecture for and by Hungarians, see enclosed file for an example (https://artifexkiado.hu/termek-cikk/metszet-20234 ).
If one is not aware of the existence of sites where already identified hijacked journal titles can be found (the best and regularly updated source is https://retractionwatch.com/the-retraction-watch-hijacked-journal-checker/) then numerous red flags can be identified:
-Indeed, as you already indicated the names in the editorial board are questionable, the name James Boulton is most likely fake. The late James T. Boulton was a famous and distinguished scientist but nowadays this name is misused not only by the here discussed “Metszet” journal but also by:
The name Behnam Abasht, University of Delaware seems real but I very much doubt whether he is aware of his mentioning in this editorial board (his field of expertise has no relation whatsoever with architecture).
-No contact info, no physical address which is suspect
-ISSN number indicates a Hungarian origin while the fake website has not a single reference to this
-Scopus link https://www.scopus.com/sourceid/21100296228 indicates if one click on the homepage https://tervlap.hu a link that has nothing to do with the fake website
-The indexing info if you scroll to the bottom of the page here https://metszetjournal.com/about/ mentions SCIE, SSCI, AHCI and ECIE. This is sheer nonsense since a journal cannot be indexed in ESCI and SCIE at the same time. The same is true for SSCI and SCIE, it is either SSCI or SCIE.
-If you Google the title then you rapidly stumble on the ORES site. Throughout the years I found that titles mentioned here are titles with ‘issues’ (hijacked, no longer indexed in Scopus etc.)
So, it remains amazing how these people try to mislead researchers so bluntly. Awareness is one of the best ways to battle against this sad phenomenon.
Best regards.

Is the cif file for MXene(Ti3C2Tx) available? If yes, can anyone provide me with one for performing rietveld refinement? I have search from COD and AMCSD website and can't seem to find one.
Relevant answer
Answer
Few suggestions to help you search:
1. Materials Databases: In addition to COD (Crystallography Open Database) and AMCSD (American Mineralogist Crystal Structure Database), you can also explore other materials databases such as ICSD (Inorganic Crystal Structure Database) and Cambridge Structural Database (CSD). These databases might have CIF files for MXenes or related materials.
2. Research Publications: Check scientific research publications that focus on MXenes. Many researchers deposit their crystallographic data in supplemental files or in public databases along with their publications. Look for articles that report the synthesis or characterization of MXenes, as they may include CIF files or provide contact information for obtaining the data.
3. Contact Researchers: If you have specific MXene materials or structures in mind, consider reaching out to the researchers who have published on those materials. They may be able to provide you with the CIF files or direct you to available resources.
4. Collaborative Platforms: Explore collaborative platforms and repositories such as Materials Project, Open Materials Database (OMDB), or Figshare, as they might have publicly available CIF files for MXenes or related materials.
5. Synthesis and Characterization Reports: Check if there are any synthesis or characterization reports available for the MXene of interest. Sometimes, these reports include crystallographic information or provide insights into the structural properties that can aid in performing Rietveld refinement.
